I had the most wonderful experience at the Verizon store in Mahopac (and believe me, I never thought I'd use these combination of words in a sentence before). I also never thought I'd feel compelled to write a review for a wireless store before, but once you approach middle age, strange things happen, your values and priorities shift in weird directions, and well, here we are. I HATE wireless stores in general - I know I'm going to walk out with some "upgraded" plan and accessories I didn't need but was convinced to buy. This, my friends, was not the case at the Verizon store in Mahopac.
I walked in mentally prepared to say no to all attempts at upselling, committed to staying 2 hours to get a new phone (mine completely died on me), and geared my kids up with ipads, headphones, and snacks, just so we could get through this experience. But Noah was wonderful - he was a straight shooter, giving me realistic information about how long the process might be, and incredibly considerate of the fact that I had two kids in tow. The Verizon system was offline so I actually couldn't be helped immediately, and Noah promised to call me when the system was up and running; I went about my day running errands, leaving my dead phone in Noah's expert hands.
When the system was restored, Noah called me, and I returned to the shop and Noah focused all his attention on setting me up with a new phone. I saw him explain to a few customers that they might have to wait a while as he worked on getting my information transferred to a new phone. He didn't take on more customers than he could handle, realistically giving them a timeline of when he would be available for them, showing that he values his customers' time and is committed to focusing attention to every single person that comes through that door.
Noah was personable, engaging, and completely the opposite of any other Verizon "salesperson" I have interacted with (this is a good thing!) While I hope I don't have to buy another phone for a while, when I do, I will definitely seek out Noah and the Verizon...
Read moreI was recently put into an extremely stressful situation when a phone I used for two jobs was lost at a job site. Britany was able to get me set up quickly and without hassle with a new phone and what I needed. Unfortunately my old phone wasn’t backing up data, so I hadn’t been able to recover any photos/apps/data etc and no fault of the store’s, but new phones are quite costly, and Verizon requires a trade in to get a discounted upgrade. Working that night at the same site, my old phone was recovered and luckily it still worked well enough to trade in. I met with Brittany again, who was able to get me the best trade in value for it and saved me a TON of money, plus helped to upgrade my plan and to further set up my new phone to make sure that everything was good. We were able to transfer everything over and I was able to breathe a huge sigh of relief. THANK YOU Mahopac Verizon and especially Brittany for making a very challenging situation manageable and stress-free, and in the end work out for the best. Can’t thank you enough, tons...
Read moreWow. Customer care hasn’t helped resolve a problem in over 3 attempts and 4 hour timeframe. Dropped calls, transfers or incompetent personnel who can’t fulfill request and enable me to upgrade my phone drive me to this store in Mahopac, NY.
I met a very helpful and patient young man named Chris S who tried to upgrade my phone but some system glitch on my account prevented him from completing this action. He proceeded to call customer care, Fios twice, and be transferred, elevated to supervisors all with no success.
Finally, Chris was as frustrated as I had been when I arrived and found a way to make this customer very happy. I purchased a New phone and he should be rewarded for finding a solution when no amount of 1800 customer care reroutes could do the same.
Chris deserves recognition for his perseverence and solution-oriented excellent customer care. NOTE - he did this all while he wasn’t feeling great from a recent...
