KATIE is the rudest associate I have ever encountered at any store. Period. The rudest. She's a discredit to ACE Hardware.

My husband attempted to purchase Element Guard paint, but Tex, for some unknown reason, despite holding my husband's phone in his hand reading my text message, which clearly stated Element Guard paint, decided to sell my husband "Ben" paint, discontinued in Feb 2023.

When my husband returned to the store today, every employee, including the manager, decided to gaslight my husband by telling him that "Ben" and "Element Guard" are the same paints. They are not.

I read the TDS for both. I spoke with Fabian at Benjamin Moore, who stated, "They are two completely different products. Element Guard was made with improvements."

The two main improvements are paint temperature at 35 degrees and rain resistance at 60 minutes, which are the very reasons I wanted Element Guard.

Now, Ian is supposed to call me because he's the only one who can "clear up" their dishonesty.

I've recently moved to the area and was bummed there were no big box stores to dig through impossibly bent 2x4s all morning. I'm in my first house and it's from like 1841 so things break as soon as one is fixed. The guys at Ace - Noble in particular, have been incredibly helpful. Once with hot water tank maintenance and once with getting my jet pump/check valve working on my scary old well.

The prices are reasonable, it's super close, and the guys know what they are doing. At Lowe's my grandfather had the lumber doof cut his 4x8 sheet in half (much to my dismay) and we ended up with a 46"x48" and a 48"x50" disaster.

Small hardware stores in my mind have a reputation for having overpriced, outdated tools under 1 inch of dust. Noble is the exception to the rule, well used, large, and...

The associate was more than helpful when finding the parts needed. He had been ever so kind enough to show me how to assemble the parts and put it together for me. Even cashed me out right after.
