I had a really busy day cleaning our garage. I was exhausted and I just wanted to go out and have a good dinner and not feel like I’ve paid for food that I didn’t enjoy. We have about 11 different places we go to eat, but my main go to when I want A guaranteed good meal at a good price I go to little Italy!! I have never had a meal there that I was disappointed in nor did I leave feeling guilty that I spent a lot of money on a dinner that I didn’t really enjoy. I ordered the chicken Marsala and asked that the chicken be breaded like chicken Parm. The sauce was absolutely delicious the perfect consistency, a lot of mushrooms, a lot of onions, and the Chicken was breaded and cooked perfectly. The portion was big enough for two people easily and came with a beautiful Fresh cold salad. After Covid Dining out became a regular disappointment With smaller portions, a higher price and more often than not the quality of the food is less than poor. When I eat Little Italy I am NEVER DISAPPOINTED!! I have ordered practically everything on the menu and not once have I gotten a meal that I wasn’t happy with! The service is fantastic Everyone is friendly and accommodating, bread, drinks, salad, entrée all delivered quickly and smoothly. Atmosphere is family friendly no loud blaring music, everyone talking, children are laughing and people are talking among themselves and enjoying their meal. A fantastic dinner, good service, nice atmosphere at a reasonable price What more can you ask for after a long day? I give little Italy...
Read moreLittle Italy in the Price Chopper Plaza in Cobleskill NY has been a staple for many years. The restaurant is quite deep with a long counter and pizza ovens on the left paralleled by tables on the right. Midway back, a partition separates the restaurant leading to the dining room. There is ample seating but it can get quite busy during peak hours.
I selected the Prime Rib special which is served with cubed potatoes which I requested not to have since we are doing Keto. I requested a vegetable on the side which was broccoli.
My sweetheart had the Chicken Scarpariello without pasta and with the broccoli as well.
My Prime Rib was brought out with the potatoes which is troublesome because I don't need to look at them when I can't eat them. The Prime Rib, which I requested medium was a bit over done but not too far off. It was quite flavorful with a demi-glacé, but I did find it over salted to the point it detracted from the beef and could really turn off some diners. The broccoli side was al dente to the extreme, it definitely needed more time.
My sweetheart enjoyed her Chicken Scarpariello, she added her side broccoli to her dish but also found it al dente.
It is safe to say you will get a decent meal at Little Italy and they definitely have a following of regulars. I was just not really impressed and if the customer requests a deletion of an item please honor their...
Read moreAway for the weekend in Schoharie with four girlfriends and we walked into this place five minutes before closing. We were those people. Not only did they graciously feed us, they didn't rush nor make us feel like we were being intrusive even though we were. We were hoping to have dinner in one of the little restaurants in Schoharie but due to Covid, all the restaurants seem to be at capacity and/or non-existent. This place thankfully thrived. After an hour of searching for a place to eat and 9pm was fast approaching, I said let's go to Little Italy. I have eaten there before. We order pizza from there when we are upstate (we have a family country home in Schoharie) so I knew the food was good. We ordered a bottle of wine, their dining area was perfect and the waitresses were sweet and provided excellent service. OH! And the salad was fresh and not bagged and the entree's were delicious! So much food! Thank you!!! We will be back when it is "Mom's...
