Eddie Bauer Outlet — Local services in Town of Colonie

Surprisingly great place! I didn't hear too much about Eddie Bauer brand in recent years, mostly buying Adidas Terrex for all outdoor clothing. But my mom needed a coat and Eddie Bauer was the only store that had the required longer length and larger size. Their womans coats go up to 3x plus size and up to 48 inches length. All coats we have looked at had YKK Japanese zippers throughout - definitely a marker of quality, and distinct from no name brands in big stores. Temperature ratings for coats go as low as minus 60F; probably an overkill for most winter days in Upstate NY, but certainly a lifesaver for cold spells of weather we get here from time-to-time. Prices were great and better than just about any brand in local brick-and-mortar stores considering overall quality of materials and workmanship. We ended up buying clothes for the whole family and will be coming back for more in the future. This particular location can handle online exchanges and returns despite technically being an outlet. In other words, anything you buy from Eddie Bauer online store can be returned or exchanged...

I have bought some wonderful clothes from the Eddie Bauer catalog but this was my first visit to the Eddie Bauer outlet store ... and my last. On the clearance rack there must have been 4 or 5 hundred women's shirts but the stuff on these racks didn't look anything like the clothes in the Eddie Bauer catalog. It was all really horrible, cheap stuff that probably wouldn't survive one trip through the washer. And the prices weren't that low either. I was really shocked and disappointed. There were some clothes in the store that appeared to be genuine Eddie Bauer -- hats and gloves against the back wall, shoes, and some clothes but mainly in sizes XS and XXL. The situation seemed to be the same on the men's side of the store. The staff seemed friendly enough, we were greeted when we came in the door, but that doesn't help if there is nothing there...

I ordered online & tried to return with receipt but forgot card. Employee told me it would be easier to use a different credit card than the one I used for the order?! I said what? He got all flustered & got louder, do you have another credit card??? I said yes & he said, put it in! Thought they were trying to pull up my account that way. He tells me the return is going on my Discover. I said no. He started telling, ma'am! I was trying to make it easier for you! I said you credited the wrong card! Don't...
