Price chopper — Local services in Town of Colonie

This is my second time at this store and my experience was great. Everyone puts their sopping carts back when they are finished which is a HUGE plus for me. Bathrooms were clean. And I had a great encounter with an employee. I was looking for a specific bag of pepperoni by Hormel and this lady helped me. At first I went to the butcher and he said try the end of aisle 13. Amd when I went there I couldn't find them that's when an associate saw me I think her name was Jeneen, short about 4'11", older white woman and very sweet, she asked if I needed help and I said yes and told her about my situation. She searched high and low for about 5-10 minutes very determined to find them and she did. It was super excited😄. It's so nice to get asked if I need help, especially in a world where people assume you get treated unfairly due to our differences. This store, as all other Price Choppers, is overpriced and has lower quality food items than Hannaford. In the deli section there were several tubs of reduced for clearance potato salad. ALL of them had bulging lids, a certain sign of spoilage already in progress. Yet all of the salads were still out for sale. It seems there is no care taken in the handling of food products in any of the store's departments. It seems this store also has a problem with the freshness and the proper storage and handling of perishable food items., like the store in Guilderland. I was browsing at this location only because I was in the area, but I ended up not purchasing anything. Even the pizza looked sad, dried out, and stale, and with minimal toppings. Between myself and other employees we go there almost every day and get between 2 and 5 soups. The soup station is often messy and out of the middle sized soup cups, lids, napkins. Then when paying for at the register there every one is so nice unless it’s Corey. She shows an attitude as soon as she sees she has to cash us out, never says hello or tells you the total.
