I did a search for Cabot’s oil deck solid stain and Lakeside hardware came up , ok so I drive over there , and I ask for one gallon of Cabot’s solid oil deck stain and,I had the old can with me , and the sales lady says , oh we don’t have the medium base and I can order it for you , it will be here on Thursday , today is Monday , but we can’t mix it for you , we don’t have the machine to mix it ? You would have to go to wallauers to get it tinted ? I said I specifically came here because Cabot’s search recommended you ? Then she says we would need another machine to mix it and there’s no room for it ! What a waste of time , you are misleading customers, this is the last time I consider Lakeside hardware for anything, the previous time four months ago I came in for dark grey floor paint and the young man proceeded to mix it , but there was to much paint in the gallon can , it ran over making abig mess and he apologized and said you’ll have to go elsewhere to buy it ! Purchased a lawn mower here today. Was greeted as soon as I entered the store, and was helped immediately. The sales associate was friendly, and informed about the choices available. He refused a tip when he loaded into my car and said "We appreciate you shopping with us today". This was my second time at this store, last time I purchased a weed wacker and the sales associate was very helpful and spent several minutes talking to me about the options and the benefits of each. One of the best hardware stores I know. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable and very willing to help you get your job done. Also, this store stocks incredibly high-end stuff and stands behind everything they sell. Stihl/Husqvarna power tools, YETI coolers and cups, top-shelf paints, hardware and fittings. Also, this is the absolute BEST place in the Hudson Valley to get chainsaw chains sharpened.
