Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Cortlandt

It's not my first time coming here. Their treatment and food are great, but there is something that makes me not recommend it to others. I came today with my friends and we ordered chicken sandwiches. I asked the employee with the suit, I think he was the supervisor, if they had bacon because we don't eat it. He assured us that they did not have sandwiches containing bacon and went himself to make our order. Then he gave us the order and returned inside. After we opened the orders, one of my friends told us that there was bacon in his sandwich. After confirming it, we discovered that he had put bacon in all of our meals, but it was a good thing that we did not eat. Then we returned the order and received the right order, and ate in the restaurant, but that employee with the suit did not appear after that, as if he had intentionally done so. I went to this location tonight to inquire about the menu and to grab a Togo menu for my Family. I stood at the register for a few mins before someone came to greet me. I walked in and made eye contact with both employees and one of them took their time to greet me and ask me if he could help me. It was a young boy, that looked like he was over the job, he didnt show any compassion or make me feel welcomed. This was a bad first Impression of the establishment. I literally looked at the menu and he just watched me and never not once asked to see what I was looking to order off the menu. I had to scan the menu to find the smoothies which he never made any attempt to suggest for me to try. I was pretty excited to check this place out, but ended up walking away with a bad taste in my mouth and not purchasing anything. re: June 10, 2023 visit: One register is broken- not a good sign in such a new store. Only one person was making sandwiches- not a good idea on a day when flatbreads were on sale. I waited almost 20 minutes for 2 flatbreads- not okay!! Meanwhile the owners were off chatting with friends who were visiting with their newborn baby while the line grew and customers waited and waited for their orders. I could not use the flatbread coupon for the peanut butter banana flatbread so I had to use my reward but then I could not take advantage of the sale so I paid full price for my other flatbread.
