THEY REALLY ARE HERE TO HELP.
When my Mom passed away at 97 years, I wanted to have a special event to celebrate her long and happy life. With 10 decades to cover, I decided to do a photo time-line for each decade. Then the hard work started. Choosing photos was the first step. The challenge of the 20s, 30s, and 40s was that some pics were dark, some very light and all were rather small. Many of the 60s and 70s photos had faded or turned orange in color.
John at Pronto Printer assured me that this was not a problem. He was right. He copied all the selected photos and made beautiful 5x7 and 8x10 cardstock prints. Even the smallest photo booth pics of Mom in her teens were turned into larger prints.
I clipped the photos to painted furring strips. One strip for each decade and my family and friends were able to remove and replace pics to really look at them. The decade time-lines were a great success... Thanks to John.
The second challenge I asked John to do was a large poster sized reprint of a special picture of Mom that I wanted to hang on the wall at the Celebration. I purchased a 21x47 frame at Walmart and John copied and printed the picture to fit perfectly. It was a spectacular addition to the time-line wall.
The third phase of my project was to have a Celebration booklet made up, to include some pictures for each decade but also written family history. Included was her birth certificate, notes by her father written about the birth of each of his 7 children, her 9 year old passport photo, and her handwritten notes about the birth and death of each of her brothers and sisters, and her aunts and uncles. We also included romantic notes that my Dad wrote to her over the years.
While researching, I found it helpful to jot down the new info into a written time-line which was the first 3 pages in the booklet. It included highlight events, places she had lived, dates and places of her travels, as well as births and weddings of our immediate family. Johns daughter, Dana, worked very closely with me on the booklet. Her patience with my frequent additions and changes was never-ending. She was terrific. The booklet was a tremendous success. My cousins, nieces and nephews loved it and I have copies for my grandchildren.
John and Dana at Pronto Printer made this all possible. They were professional in their execution of each project and their friendly demeanor and unflappable patience made me comfortable and excited about the whole process. Pronto Printer's motto is WE'RE HERE TO HELP... and I am a very...
Read moreI had the most wonderful experience working with John and Keeara at Pronto Printer! I threw a going away party for brother, a boot-camp bound Navy Sailor, and it just wouldn’t have been complete without their hard work. From the moment John picked up the phone, he was attentive, kind, and dedicated to pulling off my vision. He made several gorgeous pieces that we displayed on the walls at the party, and they were admired by all!! John and Keeara made a custom sign for me displaying nautical flags, which spelled out my sailor’s name. We hung that piece over the buffet table and it was the focal point of the whole party. We got so many compliments on the unique signage, I just had to pass them along! They stayed in touch throughout the printing process and truly cared about getting every detail perfectly on theme! This is not just a family-owned and operated shop - they make you feel like family too! I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone, and will definitely be using their services again! Thank you from the bottom...
Read moreI enthusiastically recommend Pronto Printer. My friend encouraged me to contact this company when I was looking to print my wedding booklets. Every staff member I was in contact with was very nice and professional. Keeara, who is a designer there, answered each of my emails in record time and offered helpful suggestions. I found the prices to be reasonable, and the items were ready for pickup a little earlier than I anticipated. On top of that, the booklets and wedding favor signs were absolutely beautiful. These are keepsakes that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you Keeara and everyone at Pronto Printer!
A little word of caution: they do have a large dog that stands behind the counter. Not sure if he’s there everyday. If you are afraid of dogs like me, just give them a call before you plan on going in, and they will be happy to move the dog...
