Normally I would never bother to write a review... if I had a bad experience I would just suck it up and move on... but enough is enough with this place already! I moved into the area about 6 years ago and this is my local Home Depot. When we first came to the area we purchased a home that was a fixer upper, so I have been a frequent flyer at Home Depot since we got here. In the beginning this store was fantastic.. the staff and the mangers very helpful and knowledgeable... I can't say that anymore... no no matter what time you go there its hard to find staff and when you do they are at best unknowlegeable and more ofter then not rude and occasionally nasty. No matter what time or which department im shopping in there are always huge piles of product or latters, fixtures or carts blocking items that I need to purchase... and thats if I can get in the aisle because half of the time it is closed off so that forklifts can move pallets around (shouldn't this be done after closing and not when people are shopping?) As I have said I have gone there many times and I usually help myself or fiqure it out myself... but there are certain times when help is needed especially in trades areas (plumbing and electrical) where a layperson can get lost or needs professional advice... it's not happening in the place and it gets worse everytime I go... today was tge icing on the cake... had to go twice; in the morning no one of knowledge was working in plumbing just people stocking shelves that told me they knew less about the products they me... the second trip was in the afternoon when the (manager) was there and when I approached to ask a question he told me to hurry up with full gesturing because he was busy and had to go do something. I was bothering him with a question about a product or item to buy from his department after spending 10s of thousands of dollars in his store on my home renovation projects in the last 5 years... Amazing! A new Loews is under construction in the area.. I can't wait I will be shopping there from now on... its what this place needed and deserves.. Competition of which till soon there hasn't been any... when they see how many of their regular customers goto Loews and their sales drop then and only then will they do something to fix their problems... but it's too late for me even if they do, I will be an avid Loews shopper. I hate to complain but this has been building in me for years and had to be said. Hope this helps...
Read moreMid morning yesterday I ordered a riding mower from this store, the app and website said it was in stock at Cortlandt and I could have it delivered the next day. I paid for a two hour window for it to be delivered 6am-8am.
8:30am comes around. No delivery. Call the store. Wait on hold for 15 minutes. The staff say “oh you did order it from our store but it's actually coming from Monroe.” Let us call Monroe and we will get back to you. They never call back.
I call them back at 9:15a the person on the phone is very over worked and clearly doesn't care about my issue, uses my last name as my first name and joking around. I make it clear I'm not in a joking mood. And they need to take this more seriously. They quickly do. They call the Monroe store. Oh yeah it's ready to go it will arrive at your place around noon. And we will refund the $109 delivery fee.
12:45p comes around still no delivery. I call my store again. They say let us contact the store and we will call you back I say I'll hold. Intermittent check ins with me over he next hour I'm on the phone with them. Every time they keep asking for my order number. They've asked so many times I've memorized it. They say "oh it was ready to go but the driver didn't see it on the route so they did not pack it in the truck. They can't deliver it until tomorrow." I inform them this is completely unacceptable.
On another very long hold...they finally come back with that store will put it on their truck and deliver it to you. It should leave in the next 30 minutes...and also do not call us again contact Monroe directly.
So time will tell if the mower shows up soon. But they already passed the buck. The corporate support line just tells me to call the local store. My husband and I signed a home improvement agreement for the installation of a bay window back on March 19th, 2021. We also provided a 25% deposit. We were told it would take 10-12 weeks and on our agreement is has an estimated finish date of June 11, 2021. It is now October 4th and we have no installation date scheduled and are basically unable to get in touch with anybody that can help us. We call and leave messages for the representatives assigned to our project, their managers and send emails.
As of August, we received three replies with the last one being that they have no one able to install our window in our area. The sales manager finally called us back on August 11th saying it was unacceptable and that he was having a team meeting on August 13th and would get back to us with an install date. We reached out to Home Depot on the website who "escalated" the claim on August 25th and sent an email out to all parties in charge of our project. Again we were told there were no installers in our area and no estimate of a date of install. The last time I heard from them was September 14th - we have reached out numerous times and have not heard anything in over three weeks.
How can you possibly sell a bay window to us without having the installers available to put it in? How are your representatives so unprofessional that they can't even reply back to us?
