Saks OFF 5TH — Local services in Town of Eastchester

I recently visited your store to find a jacket for my upcoming Europe trip and found one I liked, which I purchased earlier in the day. I had to rush home for a meeting but returned right before closing to check the kids’ section for a specific size my friend needed.

While I was there, I encountered a short, older white associate who treated me in a way that felt extremely rude and discriminatory. I watched her interact kindly with another customer, but when she addressed me, her tone was noticeably different. She said, “That’s the kids’ section,” and then followed up with, “You know, we’re about to close"as if I couldn’t read or wasn’t aware, even though a announcement had been made over the loudspeaker.

I was on the phone with my grandmother, so I stayed respectful, but the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. As someone who’s owned a brick-and-mortar store in Westchester County, I know firsthand how important it is to treat every customer with courtesy. I would never speak to someone that way.

Considering the reputation Saks has and the amount of money I’ve spent there, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I hope this issue is addressed, because no customer should ever...

As soon as I walked in I knew something was off. Unlike the Saks Off Fifth stores I am used to, it has the feel of a cheap outlet store, with a smattering of better pieces, and is way different than the Saks Off Fifth in White Plains or the one that used to be at Bay Paza (from which I bought many of my favorites articles of clothing). Then I came across an article announcing the store which described it as a hybrid, with some stuff from Saks and other stuff manufactured for the store (way heavy on the later). Be warned! The store has a lot of items in Clearance section with red tags, but when cashier scans them at checkout the price ends up higher and the “saving discount” that they put on the tags doesn’t apply. When I noticed that the price was way higher on my receipt than the one advertised on clearance, the associate replied that “someone must put the tag there”. Not...
