In an effort NOT to have to send my ring out for weeks on end, we started searching for a relatively local option. We called in advance to confirm the claim of 'same day service.' We arrived at 10:30am on a Saturday. We were greeted by Vickie and served promptly. Our 8 year old spotted the kiddie zone and was entertained the ENTIRE time-excellent! The onsite jeweler inspected my ring and gave us an estimate swiftly. More work was needed to fix our piece than we had anticipated, however, they could infact repair and dip the ring the same day! We needed rhodium dip, head prongs retipped, side prongs tightened and/or rebuilt, and some of the underwebbing repaired/soldered. Their usual timeline is a few hours. Due to the extent of our needs and the Invisible Setting quad head, it would not be ready until 6pm. I worked with Vickie and approved the charges, paid for it upfront (it appeared as though that was required) and received a claim ticket. Another Jared's employee, named Paul, was going over options for upgrades w my husband?? I'm not sure who instigated that discussion?? Although Paul seemed quite knowledgeable, there was no pressure, just information. Perhaps Paul planted a few seeds?? We left the store and returned after 6pm that same Saturday. We were greeted promptly, by a Jared's employee, whose name escapes me. This young man was courteous and polite as well. We turned in our claim ticket. (Didn't have to show identification??) The ring was spectacular. It truly looked like new. In just 1 day! In our own back yard?! The pictures are of the ring after we picked it up. This is a case where pictures do NOT do any justice. The sparkle is spectacular. All workmanship performed today should be re-checked in the next 6 months, per their in-house workmanship guarantee. This type of service is NOT cheap. Cheap was not our objective. We wanted Professional GUARANTEED quality repairs, swiftly, with notable Customer Service-and they delivered. You get what you pay for. My buying experience start several years ago. I made a big purchase back in 2009, can't remember who I worked with but a few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Vicky when coming into the store to look at new options. Keep in mind, I didn't make a purchase at the time but her impact on me with the level of customer service, care, thoughtfulness, and patience made me believe no matter what, I was going to buy from her, even if I spent considerably more on an item I could find elsewhere for cheaper. You can't put a price on the level of customer service that makes you feel like family. Anytime anybody I knew who talked about a jewelry purchase I instantly thought of Vicky. I referred to her as "my jeweler" and told them to go see her for anything they needed. Fast forward to the last 6 months I contacted her through email to let her know I was back in the market. The whole time she followed up with me asking how I was doing and even wished Merry Christmas to include a happy birthday without expectations of responding to her since she knows I've got a busy life. I'm very picky and indecisive. The fact she stuck by my side this whole time proves she cares about every customer that comes in the store. I've seen how she treats customers and I'm treated no differently. I've felt like family no matter what time or day I've reached out to ask questions. I've doubled my original budget from a few years ago because I knew I was in good hands. I'm a big believer in customer service and I've been known to be very critical of businesses that don't meet my expectations which I'll be honest are very hard to meet. Read moreIt's not very often that I find myself needing to write a review, but there are occasions where the customer service is beyond excellent and the jewelry specialists that I dealt with at the Appleton store need to be recognized. I wanted a custom earring that incorporated both my wife's and my birthstones (connected by a chain) since I have a double piercing in one of my ears. I started speaking with Jonni and she was immediately on board with my rough idea. We tossed around several ideas, and came up with one that we both thought might work. Jonni got Ginny involved, and the details just seemed to fall into place. I could tell that they were both excited about the idea, so once we figured out the size of the gems, and style of chain that I wanted, they came back with a suggestion about the shape of the earrings themselves that fit my ear perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the finished result. Jonni and Ginny were consummate professionals from start to finish. They had a great deal of knowledge about size and style, and their opinions about how it would look were invaluable. They were very easy to talk to, and their excitement about the custom project made the whole process really enjoyable.
