By far, 14K is simply the BEST! They are head and shoulders above every jewelry store establishment I have ever dealt with in my 63 years of life! Let me share a couple of experiences to demonstrate exactly why I rate them so highly.

My first experience came shortly after two different family members (my oldest daughter and my brother-in-law) shared glowing recommendations of 14K after the store had exquisitely designed and custom-made their engagement rings. My initial needs were far more modest. On a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel back in 2018, I had purchased a silver ring for my wife with a profoundly meaningful personal inscription on it. Unfortunately, after only three years of wear, it developed a crack and needed to be repaired. One jewelry store relatively close to our home attempted to fix and restore it, but within weeks, it had cracked again. I was deeply disappointed because this ring had special sentimental value. As a last resort, I decided to bring this project to 14K. Boy was I glad I did! Not only did the staff at 14K restore this ring to its original beauty and condition, they even reinforced the ring’s band to ensure that it would never crack again. My wife and I were both elated.

Fast-forward a year and I quickly decided to transact business again with this wonderful family-owned business. This time the stakes were considerably higher. My wife and I were about to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and I wanted to do something extravagant to express my love for her. My vision was to present her with a diamond-studded anniversary ring that would outpace anything I had ever previously placed on her fingers. And so, I contacted 14K once again and spoke with Nick who listened intently to what I was planning. Over several weeks, we brainstormed and collaborated until our mutual idea of the perfect “showstopper” ring came into focus. It was then up to Nick and his equally talented brother Mike to carefully, gem by gem, make it a reality. On July 19th, I placed their stunning creation on my wife’s finger, leaving her surprised and grateful beyond words. Though photos are woefully inadequate to display just how gorgeous this ring really is, I have uploaded some images for your benefit. Nancy and the staff at 14K Jewelry Store in Hudson are among the nicest and most helpful people that I have ever encountered in my life, never mind in retail! My husband and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences visiting their store over the years. We knew nothing about buying diamonds and quality jewelry when we first started shopping there. Nancy took over an hour teaching us about important characteristics that we needed to look for before purchasing! She pulled out binders of information with diagrams and photos, even going so far as to pull out a jeweler's loupe (Nancy taught us that is what the magnifying glass they use to look at the quality of a diamond is called). She let us look at so many different diamonds with the loupe in the store, pointing out the differences in quality and ratings. It was absolutely amazing! We were able to find the perfect pieces and feel great about the money we were paying for them! Another amazing experience I recently had just the other day was during an appraisal. They will perform a complete appraisal FOR FREE on the jewelry you purchase from them. The appraisal's include a complete description of the item with beautiful photos, all presented in a lovely folder to keep it all safe. It also provides a QR code to access the appraisal digitally! I noticed a tiny typo on the appraisal, in the simplest place and told them not to worry about it, it truly was not a big deal to me at all. However, they decided to reprint the documents, place them in a brand new folder, and had an employee drive them to my home on a Friday night after the store had closed!! Are you kidding me?? Where are you going to find customer service like that?? I am completely blown away, and you bet, they will have our service forever!! I reached out (emailed from website) to 14K late one night after discovering that my late mother's ring that I have been wearing for the last 8 years had developed a crack through it. They responded quickly and I saw them for the repair. The woman at the front (Melissa, I believe her name was) was extremely helpful, empathetic, and kind. She suggested we resize the ring to fit my finger to best care for it and, while I was hesitant, I am so glad I did. As you can see from the before and after photos, the ring looks so much better than it did and now it FITS. As per my request, they left the wear on the ring and did not polish as, to me, the wear reminds me of her. I really appreciated that they respected my wishes with that. I dropped off early in their day, around 11am and I received a call from them later that evening that my ring was ready for pick-up. I am not sure if they are normally this fast with repairs or if it was easy enough to do and they knew it was special...whatever the reason, it is greatly appreciated.
