Spring Garden — Restaurant in Town of Greenport

We have always come here since i was old enough to eat chinesefood. The food is higher than any standard you could expect. Their prices are so fair. I’d say I order way more here just because I know it will be fantastic. I never have to worry. The level of professionalism and costomer service it the highest you will ever see anywhere, let alone a Chinese restraunt . The owner who I remember always picking my Shirley temple umprella the same color I liked who passed away, was the emblem of costomer service. I was so pleased to come back to see that even the very young employees are so concerened with making people happy. They gave me an order of seseme chicken for free because of a small mistake. The bartender was also so professional when I found a lost credit card in the parking lot and asked if he might know who’s it was. He recognized her name right away and made sure I knew that he had the check for this woman and called her right in front of me. This level of care is what I would love to have everywhere. So if you ever have a doubt about spring garden... don’t they’re going to floor you every time. This is a real restraunt charging you takeout prices. You could never go wrong here. It’s a fantastic business that has carried over to the future generations. I can’t even get this quality of Chinese food in saratoga! Such a fantastic bussiness. They’re interested in keeping costomers for life! I get recognized even when I only come In on a rare instance. I am definitely a lifetime costomer and I wish they would open one in saratoga because I would absolutely be there...

The atmosphere was cold. People wore their coats when eating and there was one electric heater to heat the dining area. I guess I suspected it was like it used to be before the former owner died but it's far from that.it isn't like it was. I suggest stepping it up a notch in changing the color of the dining room from a cold prison gray) to a warm cozy color like it used to be. Whatever it takes). The food and I won't lie was scary. The pupu platter was served on a cold white platter, the food wasn't as good as before either. Rather than go on and on, close shop, talk with a designer, and your cook, get a waitress who understands English and maybe more people will come in and dine rather than take out. It was my birthday dinner, I surely will not be back for my next birthday. Why don't you have it where instead of just serving their meal you cook it in front of them? And the full bar is missing. By the way your recent explanation of my newest review on 12/24/24, is dated from 6 yrs ago....

Got robbed. My partner and I came here on Christmas and we left a generous amount including a tip of cash on the table… there was only staff in the building at the time so naturally we walked out trusting the staff- and the waitress ran out after us with 2 $20s and a $5. We owed $82 my partner left over $40+ on the table and I remember leaving 2 $20s and a $10 in total of $50 so altogether we left $85+ dollars on the table. There is no reason we should have been approached with $45 in cash the waitress saying we owed more. Someone is stealing money from customers. It was very suspicious we were asked where we were from be CAUTIOUS eating here someone is robbing people the food is good but expensive and people are being robbed blind I will never go here again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away this restaurant is very lucky it is heresay otherwise we would have went to the police...
