I lived in Manhattan for many years and have eaten at many, many Indian restaurants, from jacket and tie places like Dawat to the 20 or so Indian places on 6th St. This little unassuming curry house ranks up there with the best for the quality and taste of their food (Bhoti Kebab is a special favorite- you can cut it with a fork it is so tender, but I've had their biryanis and vindaloos, and they don't disguise poor meats with heavy spices.), their breads (I prefer Poori and Chapati), appetizers, main courses, etc.
I have not tried the buffet but it looks good. I now eat here at least once a week, often twice. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food comes quick and is delicious. I am amazed to find an Indian restaurant of this quality in the middle of an outdoor mall anchored by Tractor Supply. Their prices are, in my opinion, on the low side considering what they offer.
I would rank this place among the top 5% of all good Indian restaurants I've been to. I only wonder why they are not extremely crowded. They should be. Too bad they are closed tonight. Just writing about it is bringing on a craving for some Sheesh Kebab with raita and mango chutney, and a freshly made...
Read moreI recently dined at an Indian restaurant in upstate New York, and I was thoroughly impressed by the delightful combination of great food and a comfortable atmosphere. The menu offered a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared with care. From the aromatic curries to the perfectly cooked tandoori dishes, every bite was a delightful journey through Indian cuisine.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. It's evident that the restaurant values its customers and strives to offer an excellent dining experience without breaking the bank. Most loved dish: Aalo puri...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could! The food was extremely disappointing—completely lacking the authentic flavors I expect from Indian cuisine. It was bland and uninspired. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my mango drink, which I accidentally sucked through the straw. When I brought it to the waiter's attention, he responded by saying, "It's been very windy lately." (Yes, really—I couldn’t make this up if I tried!) He then asked if I wanted a replacement drink, but after the hair incident, there was no way I was going to risk it. I’m still trying to figure out how the wind has anything to do with hygiene in the kitchen. Needless to say, I will never be returning. Save yourself the trouble and...
