We had our liner pool installed by Colleyâs Pools and Spas in October of 2014, and we couldn't be happier with the initial experience and the results. The team at Colleyâs was professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer our questions. Because of the time of year the installation was partially completed, and the pool was chemically closed for the winter. They told us that they would return in the spring (of 2015) as soon as the weather permitted and call us to schedule the opening and complete the installation. They came out as promised and finished the installation exceeding or expectations. Over the years the operation and maintenance of the Salt pool have been incredibly easy, and we have relied on the knowledge and advice of the team in the Hamburg store to answer our questions, give us expert advice and make recommendations on what to do, they never disappointed. Because of their dedication, they helped to make each summer problem free. A few times I had to ask for a higher level of expertise with specific issues I was having, and thatâs when Charlie and Bob (Parts Dept.) were there to help. They always had the answers for me and made sure that when I walked out of the store I was equipped with the part and knowledge to take care of it. I canât forget to mention Linda; she always went out of her way to help. This year (2025) I had a problem with a sizable stain in the pool, I wasnât sure what it was and I didnât know how to get rid of it. Once on a service call, Bob Wrigley saw the stain and suggested I get a âJackâs Stain Identification Kitâ to determine what type of stain it was. He said that I should talk with Charlie at the store and he would help determine what the stain was and how to eliminate it. Charlie took the time to guided me through the process step by step to determine what the stain was (it turned out to be Copper) and then the complicated process to get rid of the stain. The whole process took about three weeks, and the result was that the stain is COMPLETELY GONE, and the water is crystal clear. His knowledge was and continues to be invaluable. The photo below is from 10/17/25 after the stain removal and just before the closing on 10/20/25.
We highly recommend Colleyâs Pools and Spas to anyone considering a new pool or spa. Their expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction sets them apart. Thank you, Colleyâs, for helping us create so many wonderful memories in...
   Read moreABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING SERVICE!
I can't believe any of these other reviews about poor customer service to be true. I have had noting but outstanding service from them and they have always been very friendly and helpful.
We bought our house on Oct. 8, 2015. The previous home owner never closed it as the weather that year was beautiful! We have never had a pool before. With the moving we totally forgot about getting the pool closed. Colley's was the first phone call, and simply by default of alphabetical order. The lady who answered the phone said they were done closing pools for the year. I was almost Halloween. Before we hung up she asked for our address to see if we were in their computer. We were. They installed the pool and did all the work on it over the years. She even got us a pool closing for the beginning on November. She saved the day for sure! :)
We have had the pump replaced four years ago, a new, upgraded liner three years ago, a new filter this year, and a new heater scheduled for next year. Our pool is 21 years old. All equipment was original and we were expecting to upgrade in this time frame anyway.
Yesterday I went out to the pool because the pump was not running. The timer was ticking, but the pump was not running. I found the pump itself to be hot to the touch. Assuming the pump was bad, I called Colley's right away. The service department was closed but the lady on the phone said that someone in parts may be able to help me. Bob, the parts manager could not have been more helpful! He helped me take the pump apart and diagnose the problem over the phone. It turned out to be a bad capacitor. I went to Colley's and bought one for $28. I knew the price before I got there. I could have bought one much cheaper through my HVAC supply house, but I gladly gave the business to Colley's. After all they helped me again!
Colley's has ALWAYS been upfront about cost an has never gone over budget or estimate. They have always been on time, very friendly, and very professional. If people do not like the price, or it does not fit their budget then they need to go elsewhere. As a business owner, I fully understand how much money is needed to maintain a solid, reliable business. The cheapest guy is not always the best.
I look forward to many more years of business...
Read moreUPDATE: ignore the nice response you see from the owner. They have done nothing to âmake it right.â Admittedly, they did refund the $160 but that was for chemicals they were supposed to supply us with from the beginning.
And, as has happened throughout, they blamed us for not telling the worker at the store that the pool had just been installed. Except, we did.
Still no word about fixing the lawn, which is damaged 28â feet from the edge of the pool and well into the neighboring lot.
UPDATE #2: They installed the plumbing lines over the property line, which wonât pass inspection. They were told this over a month ago when we hit one of the lines while digging for the fence posts. Of course, they blamed us, even though we followed the measurements on the drawing that they submitted to the town for our permit. Only after several emails have they finally come out to check on their error.
UPDATE #3 - we ordered a hook and loop winter cover but they claim that we didnât. I asked for a copy of the sales contract, which we never received, and they sent a copy of an excel spreadsheet with our order specs. No signatures or way to confirm.
UPDATE #4 - Colleyâs claims that the amount of damage to our lawn and the adjacent lot is ânormal.â Keep in mind, thereâs equivalent damage on the lawn on the far side of the pool as well that needs to be fixed. The estimate to fix the damage is over $2000.
Pressured to put down an $8000 deposit in order to secure our installation spot only to have them reschedule 3 times. They came out and started out pool and then didnât come back for 4 days because they went to work on someone elseâs pool. Finally got it installs and the water has been cloudy ever since. Brought them a water sample today and they charged us $160 to fix it.
EDIT: Also, check out how they left my lawn. They said itâs my responsibility to fix the damage they caused.
$52,000 and they they couldnât even make sure it was right before they left.
I donât recommend...
