The days of a friendly face at the register from a clerk who knows you by name and âwould you like paper or plastic?â are long gone. As other reviewers have posted, Josiah wouldnât lay a finger to help a customer bag there groceries. If I had been shopping and looking to check out, I would actively avoid his line. I had my 3year old son and 2year old daughter with me once, hands full with both of them and still, this boy would not lift a finger to assist. It has unfortunately spread to the remaining cashier grumps at Grand Union. I had cashed at a Wegmans in my youth and this kid wouldnât have lasted for a week with this work ethic. All I can say is that the benefits of having a cashier in a world of self checkout are lost on this place.
