This coffee shop is conveniently located across the street from Hotel Saranac, making that the only thing convenient about it.

After trying to order online and not being able to add seasonal beverages to my order or make any changes, I tried calling instead. I was told that they don’t take phone orders. I ended up ordering online but was still unable to find a field to ask for an ingredient to be removed from my order. Fortunately at the end, I did see a section where you could add a note. I requested for the avocado to be removed from the order.

I picked up my sandwich and ended up having to place a second order for the drink that was not listed on their ordering site. The barista I interacted with both on the phone and in person was not pleasant nor helpful. My sandwich came with the avocado still on it, even though the paper on my order included my note to remove it. I had somewhere to be and couldn’t ask for them to remake it, but I’m just grateful that I’m not allergic to avocado and could settle for picking it off. However, this could be an issue for someone else.

It’s too bad as the reviews were promising and I love visiting coffee shops and supporting small businesses. Unfortunately I can’t recommend Origin Coffee Co. based on all the factors that went into...

Would give this business 0 stars if I could, very poor customer service and not a welcoming atmosphere at all.We weren’t greeted with a how are you just stares which was the first bad impression of this business we’ve never been to because we are not from the area,I went here a half hour before closing time with my fiancé and our 6 month old, inviting my mother as an adventure outing for the day to bring her for coffee and some food and we were very disappointed in the way we were treated very unwelcoming as we looked at the menu the lady made sure to be very blunt and told us that they aren’t making any food anymore in the most snobbiest way before we even ordered(which was all that was said to us while we were there). So we left and they didn’t get our business not even for the coffee for my mom. We went to Little Italy instead and got awesome welcoming customer service and my mom got her coffee. Be kind or lose...

We drove from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake to get breakfast and coffee here, even though they have a location in LP. We had been here a few years ago and the burrito was memorable. We got a salted caramel iced coffee, a decaf pour over coffee, a pulled pork bahn mi, and a breakfast burrito with chorizo. The food was made fresh and we enjoyed our coffees at the outdoor table until the food was brought out. The burrito was delectable and I ate it before I remembered to take a photo. The pork sandwich was flavorful and had fresh pickles on it. Overall the food was good, service friendly and it was a nice atmosphere! Will be...

We checked our Origin Coffee during our day in Saranac Lake. When we got there, there was a large line out the door. It seemed to be moving, so we waited in it. The whole time we were at the restaurant, the line was persistent! We got a sweater weather latte, the breakfast burrito, and the biscuit sandwich. The latte was truly amazing, one of the best we've had in a long time. The breakfast burrito was similarly incredible (likely the best we've had on the east coast!). The biscuit fell a bit flat, but wasn't bad at all. I see why this place is highly rated, huge fan!
