The Community Store — Local services in Town of Harrietstown

I want to give a RAVE shout out to the Saranac Lake Community store. I live in Bloomingdale and have lived here since 2005 from Anna Maria Island Florida. We live in a rural area where necessities are really an hour away for us. Well not anymore!!! If you want clothing or staples, we travel to Plattsburgh, or spend a little too much in Lake Placid, main street. Having the Community Store is truly a blessing. Once discovering the store a couple of months ago, I am very impressed at all the store carries, anything from undergarments to puddle boots to fine knit sweaters to dress slacks. I also discovered Winter Carnival necklaces in their jewelry counter. If you haven't been to this wonderful town store in Saranac Lake you are really missing out.

I am waking tomorrow to go to a special event at my church. I plan on stopping at the Community Store to buy a cream cable knit sweater I have been dying over for weeks now. Alot of us are waiting to purchase things once our Income Tax checks come in. Well mine showed up!!

The community store is perfect for getting most last minute, and at times, random items. I've personally never purchased clothing, but I have purchased some kitchen items, yarn, and candles. The atmosphere in the store is wonderful in that it's clean and welcoming. I couldn't give it 5 stars as I've gone in a few times and they didn't have a few items I really wanted, but that doesn't prevent me from stopping in as they are a local business. Great little store in downtown Saranac Lake,NY. Very friendly folks working here it's basically a clothing store, but they have a little bit of everything, including maple syrup products from the area, which was what I was after and purchased.
