My chum and I stopped by here for a post-hike meal after summiting nearby Scarface Mountain. She had been here before; I wouldn't classify this as a recommendation per se, but it was mentioned as a perfectly fine option based on one prior visit, and I was intrigued by the edgy name and menu. We came in around 2ish, and the place was pretty empty beyond a small handful of customers. We decided to go with a high-top table on the side of the room opposite the bar and made ourselves comfortable.

I wasn't able to locate a drink menu on the website (certainly wouldn't hurt to add that to the three or four menu sections featured there already; otherwise it's a pretty snazzy site) so I could be off on the name, but I decided to get a cocktail that I think was called a bourbon or cranberry smash. It definitely had my spirit animal (bourbon) included, and some kind of fruity, sweet addition to complement same. I'm very pro enhancing the sweetness of bourbon. This was the highlight of our experience here by far, and I ordered a second one to enhance the rosy hue on my cheeks.

Since many calories needed to be replenished, I opted for the Pulled Pork Plate ($23), which featured pulled pork, bbq sauce, a jalapeno-cheddar corn cake and two sides. I went with the fries and mac and cheese for my aforementioned sides; admittedly, the fries just weren't my jam - I'm more into crispy, thicker fries, so I let my chum munch on those. That's not a knock on the establishment though, just personal preference. The mac and cheese was okay - nothing mind-blowing, but it did the job. The pulled pork was also average. The biggest issue for me was that it looked and tasted like it had been pre-made. It came out super fast (which is usually a positive), but it was obviously because it wasn't made to order. It just didn't taste very fresh, which brought down the whole dish. It was hard to distinguish the corn cake because it was literally under all of the pork/BBQ, but I did think it added some good texture to the proceedings.

My chum got a poke bowl and requested tofu instead of fish on the top. When the waiter brought the poke bowl out, it prominently featured, you guessed it, fish. He was apologetic and rectified the problem, but it was literally the only special request she made and based on his reaction, it just wasn't written down and/or remembered when the order was initially taken. Not a huge deal, but worth noting.

The price point was pretty competitive, though I think the prices in this region overall are pretty amazing (likely PTSD from routinely making purchases in the NYC metro area), and everyone was very personable and welcoming. I'd have no issue returning but I'd probably stick...

Visited with my lady after doing some hiking earlier in the day. I was weighing area dinner options until I started reading the menu. I was immediately interested in the Thai Maple chicken wings. Followed by Fried Pickles with Sriracha ranch. Ok now we're 2/2. Brussels? Not usually a fan. But the menu description made it worth a shot. Finally, we saw the Whipped Feta app and decided this was the place. We don't need to look at entrees, it's apps for dinner tonight. Well, we should probably get a salad to make it a healthy meal

The wings come in orders of 6 or 12. They were big and juicy. The Thai Maple was well balanced, not too sweet. The Pickles were tasty. Get in there with your hands, get some of that arugula and pickled onion together with the pickle and dip it all in the Sriracha ranch. The Brussels were flavorful and crispy, I would order them again. The whipped Feta app is served hot and the first bite, with honey and pistachio, was divine. Star of the show.

I'm not usually a porter guy, but the maple cream porter was delicious and would have been worth a second glass if I was staying longer.

By the time we made it through the apps, the salad was an afterthought and we took most of it to go.

Atmosphere was quiet and dim, with some overhead music that wasn't over the top loud. Exactly what we were looking for. I think calling it elevated bar food sells it short, but if you're looking for menu items with character and a chill vibe, this is a great spot. 4 apps, Chix Caesar Salad, and 3 beers cost around $90. You can certainly get out of there for cheaper, but we wanted to try a...

Three friends and I went there for dinner last night. We all wanted steak so we got there steak, with salad and fries. We received our food in good time. But i was unhappy, my steak was half the size of everyone else’s. So i told the waiter that I am not paying 25 dollars for that tiny piece of meat that was cooked to a medium, when I ordered a rare steak. So she’s like well do you want it remade? I said yes please because I’m not paying 25 dollars for this. So she got me another steak. I ate it too, then I get my bill. AND SHE CHARGED ME FOR THE SECOND STEAK. You don’t do that to customers, she wasn’t very nice about the whole thing either. I was very upset about the situation. I told her I’m not paying extra for them to fix the problem. So she took the check and gave it to her manager. The manager came and complained, but I didn’t care I told her I wasn’t paying. And so she was like well I guess I’ll take it off this time JUST because you were nice to my staff. On top of all that. They gave us water in plastic disposable cups, super fancy for the price on the menu. The napkins were literally taken from the bathroom, and she took a fork from another table that had people because they ā€œwere running out of silverwareā€. That is very unprofessional. I will never be coming back to this place. Horrible people. And the food was definitely not worth the price. We all left there Bitter from how we were treated, and Bones because they don’t give you enough food. It’s in there name....
