Early Dawn Confections — Restaurant in Town of Harrietstown

If you didn't see the signs, or ask the locals, you might miss this gem. The minute you walk in you are greated with the smell of a bakery that knows its stuff. Then the most welcome greeting from the owner. Now, the even better part. The goods. So many good choices, so we tried a variety. Went with the apple cider crullers, bagels, and the house specialty donkey knuckle. A roll baked with cheddar cheese and a local dairies cheese(jay i believe). I asked for it heated, and it did not disappoint. We grabbed a bunch for the ride home, as we were in town to see my son at his college. Once we got home and tried the rest. Oh dear lord. We worked with Jill and Early Dawn Confections for our wedding cake and desserts and everything was so delicious and perfect! The almond cake tasted so yummy! All of our guests loved the cupcakes as well. Especially the chocolate with ADK forest filling. Jill was a pleasure to work with. We made the best choice by having Early Dawn make our wedding desserts!!! They were all INCREDIBLE and we heard many great things about how much people loved them. The cake tasting was also so much fun and on the most beautiful china with delicious coffee. We had donuts, apple fritters (best we ever had), and a small cutting cake that was a spice cake with apple pie filling. It was all incredible and we can’t wait to come visit again!!!
