I am the type of person that doesn't like going out and taking care of errands, or even dealing with people in general, and eyeglasses are no different. So let me tell you that my experience at America's Best was pleasant, fast, affordable, with zero complications, upsells or pressure. I felt so amazingly cared for despite there being several customers there. I set up my appointment on the website and it was absolutely painless, even same day. I met Cassidy at the counter and she was so pleasant and on top of everything she answered every question I had even before I knew I had them. My eye exam wait was less than two minutes, and the technician(I'm so sorry I didn't write down your name!) was cheerful, funny, and excellent at her expertise. Every aspect of the procedure was explained in very compact and easy to understand terms and she made me feel instantly comfortable despite it being literal decades since my last eye test. My wait for the doctor was less than four minutes and Dr. Kile was a pleasure to speak to, charming and again very compact with dense information in very easy to understand language. He answered all of my questions, and gave me all the time I needed to make sure I was comfortable with my test results. I am normally terrible with small talk, though in that chair, with Dr. Kile, every moment of conversation was pleasant and zero awkwardness and plenty of understanding. The exact chef's kiss mix of personal and professional. Shay then showed me the frames covered by their 2 for $79 deal (which had a far better selection than I was expecting for the affordable options, and I found two beautiful wireframes that perfectly fit my face), she explained to me the lens and coating options in a very no-pressure manner and helped me make the best choice for my price thresholds. I felt very comfortable asking her about the feature options and all the prices were clearly presented with no upsell pressure at all. I cannot stress how thankful I am for this treatment as nearly every other square foot in human existence is trying to squeak every possible penny per second out of you that my experience America's Best in Levittown was a refreshing and sincerely welcome change of pace. The entire staff were effortlessly friendly and laid back in a way I rarely see in service industries today, and I can easily say by my experience with them they will be my lens shop for as long as I live on this beautiful island. Thank you again Cassidy, Shay, Dr. Kile, and you wonderful optical test technician, you literally made my day 1000%...
Read moreI’m sharing my experience after filing a complaint with America's Best, which received only a general response stating that the store manager would reach out. Over a week has passed with no follow-up, so I’m left frustrated.
During my visit to the Levittown branch, there was a misunderstanding about the cost of my eyeglasses. I always thought my copayment for single vision lenses was $15, but when a female sales representative, quoted a higher price, we asked for clarification. Despite us calmly asking multiple times, she became increasingly rude, raised her voice, and muttered “you people” under her breath. Ultimately, we figured out the issue ourselves, realizing the copay was actually $25, but that lady never helped us clarify this.
Additionally, I felt that her recommendation for high index lenses was unnecessary and possibly financially motivated, as my prescription only required single vision reading glasses.
I accept the confusion on my part partially, but the unprofessional behavior from the staff was unacceptable. I hope America's Best takes this seriously and ensures better customer service...
Read moreOkay first thing first … the receptionist “chasidy” or whatever her name is SO RUDE. This is a business definitely not the way you should be speaking to customers. So hostile for no reason. I am very big on customer service as I work for the United States postal service. Didn’t appreciate the attitude I received from this woman. You should be kind to customers and not be nasty and disrespectful. All I asked her was that I was running a little late for an eye exam due to being caught up at work. The mail doesn’t deliver itself. Instead of being kind and helping me out and giving me a 30 minute break she said book another appointment in a nasty attitude way. Where is the courtesy of being nice and well spoken ? I much rather go somewhere else and spend my money where people can actually talk to me professionally and respectfully. Not to mention I already purchased TWO pairs of glasses already from them....
