My husband had ordered me a fruit bouquet through 1-800 Flowers for our wedding anniversary in April. They used Chocolate Works as the local vendor to make and deliver the order. The fruit bouquet was supposed to look like an Edible Arrangements item, with fruit on a stick and some of it coated in chocolate. This was also supposed to come with an âI love youâ balloon.
First, the delivery person put the basket directly in front of the door, which makes it hard to get outside my door to pick it up. Other vendors have done that too, I guess they donât think. The real problem that was noticed immediately is that the balloon said âhappy birthdayâ. It was very saddening and disappointing to get a special delivery like that and have it say âhappy birthdayâ on our anniversary. He actually mentioned our anniversary in the card too, so they obviously didnât think about what they were doing in order to catch the mistake.
At first glance, the fruit looked nice and I tried to ignore the balloon error. Upon eating the fruit, I realized that it wasnât all properly cut, leaving a lot of non-ripe areas on the melons (green areas on the cantaloupe). Whenever I tried to eat the chocolate covered fruit, the chocolate broke and fell off immediately, it wasnât properly sticking to the fruit like a true and proper chocolate dipped fruit would. The chocolate tasted a bit old too. Iâm not sure if they are using old chocolate, cheap chocolate or just donât know how to properly make chocolate covered fruit.
It sucks being quarantined during special occasions so my husband really wanted that gift to be perfect, he was upset. I tried to cover up my unhappiness because I wanted him to know that it was the thoughts that counted. In the end, it was decided that he would only order that type of stuff directly through Edible Arrangements going forward. I would stay away from this vendor...
Read moreI received a small birthday fruit basket 30 minutes ago, which seemed pretty until I unwrapped it. This must have been in a refrigerator for a minute, because the orange slices were dry, the rind LOOKED dry, and they didn't taste good at all. They were not quality oranges. The green melon was unripe and hard. The cantaloupe slices should have been sliced MINUS the green rind parts. The chocolate was cheap and sweet, and did not work. The strawberries were decent. Because it was a delivered gift I didn't tell the giver so they wouldn't feel bad. If Flowers.Com has to outsource to different vendors and can't guarantee quality, they need to stick to just flowers and let Edible Arrangements handle the fruit basket department. This is so bad my mom...
Read moreTheir chocolate-coated Marshmallow Clouds are the best! Huge(!) Like about the size of 3-4 regular-sized marshmallows in one), puffy pieces with very good marshmallow inside and the chocolate coating is fresh and hard and crisp and very tasty! I have only tasted the milk chocolate ones so far, but will have to try the dark ones as well, for sure! I bought them at TJ Max. I called the company to ask if the product contained any MSG (because the label lists "Natural Flavors", which is often a term that can and is legally used for MSG) and they told me none of their products contain MSG. Yay! They also said that these can be bought at...
