This one is for the manager who goes by “China” :-)
I went to Five Below on 7/9/25 at approximately 8pm to get my own balloons filled for my child’s birthday, just as I did for my other child last month. “China” is at the register and claims she can’t fill my balloons because they weren’t bought at the store. She said there’s no way to charge me for the helium. I said that made no sense as I’ve been there before to get my own balloons filled. She said they weren’t supposed to do that and that she knows because she’s the “manager”. I told her that was extremely frustrating and I was dumbfounded, honestly. She just repeated that there was no way to charge me for the helium without buying a balloon from the store. Well, lo and behold, just as I was leaving the store, the worker (in a black uniform- security? I’m not sure) by the door asked if I was told I can’t get my balloons filled. I said the “manager” said no. He stated that I could and proceeded to call out to China to inform her that she could just charge me the price of a balloon for each one. He told me to go ahead and grab a balloon. I head over to the balloons where I found this sticker/notice that clearly states we can bring our own balloons to be filled. Well, I went back and told this to China and she just gives me the longest blank stare. LOL. No apologies, no “I’m sorry I was mistaken”. She literally just said nothing and stared at me, looking like the dumbest person on earth. So, whoever is reading this, please know that this person is not only incompetent at her job, but also rude. We all have bad days but this isn’t the way to treat your customers. It also might be worth wondering how much business she turned away, because after I gave my balloons to her, she started to fill them, stopped, then went somewhere in the back without a single word. Was she going to refill the tank? Was she going back to waste more of my time? I don’t know. I waited 5 minutes, took my balloons, and left to get them filled elsewhere. I told the other worker that I appreciated him and perhaps China needs to get retrained at her job. Manager? That’s...
   Read moreI come here to shop all the time today Monday July 7th 2025 I come to look for a couple items I could not find on my ax the workers to help me out they have poor customer service I asked two people for help they ignored kept walking did not help me I had to go up front to ask someone else for help and the manager Are hiring the wrong employees that don't wanna work or not doing their job very rude you talk to them they roll their eyes they keep walking very prejudice I left the items I did not buy anything I will not be coming back to this place anymore I don't highly recommend anyone coming to the store poor bad customer service very rude I'd rather waste my gas and go more miles away to another 5 below instead of shopping a Freeport this place sucks This place does not even deserve one star deserve 0 stars for the customer service If the manager reads this I put the date today at 6 PM there was two of your employees 1 female 1 male working on the floor or all of this is regarding about your Employees...
   Read moreCustomer Service was bad today. I wasn't greeted. The worker walked around as if the store was closed. The kicker was that there are three cash register. A worker was standing with her back to the line. The second register announced next and without looking she rushed to that register. Then said you can stand there. how disrespectful. I'm not a child. then she proceeded to show the cashier how to look up prices. If she can't do that then should she be qualified to be doing the register. They were so busy, they did not acknowledge my thank you. Just shovel my stuff closer to me and said "a do you need a bag" sarcastic.
