We enrolled our 6th grader at the end of 4th grade. We couldn't wait to remove him from the public system. We weren't happy with the common core curriculum, the liberal agendas, and the changing classroom environment . We felt that children and our own voices were being silenced. Teachers and administrators were teaching and reading from scripts. Parents were ignored or insulted with misinformation . Many parents simply felt hostage to the new " Education Economy." But our trials became a blessing when we chose GCA,. Our son began to excel beyond anything we imagined. We had no idea that when taught a Classical , Christian, and Multi-disciplined approach and small class sizes that he would out preform public school peers by a year. He went from low self esteem to a consistent honor roll student. Our faith has been strengthened by loving teachers and a God honoring community. GCA has become our family. Parents, Children, and Teachers support each other in becoming the best Christians and human beings we can be. Our children are caring and respectful. We've been blessed in hosting internationally through GCA , our new daughter from China. This has been an honor, as our world view has mutually changed. Our new daughter has amazed us. Her first year in America and she is reading Shakespeare, taking biology, and studying ancient civilizations with ease. Our older students have become wonderful stewards to the world and in their community, as well as, in their classrooms. They are impressive polite youth. GCA has enriched our lives and given us so much hope because of it's loving, nurturing, and selfless...

It is an honor to be part of the GCA community. I have placed my children and their education into the hands of teachers that I have found second to none. The education is rigorous, classical and Christ-centered without compromise - I would settle for nothing less. Having come out of teaching in the government school system myself and being subject to its progressive philosophy of education, I have found the classical approach superior and one that I have no reservation in promoting. Grace Christian is the best kept secret in all of Long Island and the only classical Christian K-12 east of the Hudson.

To Linda C, I am sorry to hear of your negative experience and do wish you would allow GCA to be assessed according to its current offerings rather than something that would have happened more than 9 years ago. I cannot speak for that time period but I can for our current standing, which we have strived to make stellar across the board - spiritually, socially, academically. Grace Christian Academy is a gem and a light, soaking its students in the word of God and teaching them how to think critically. Working at the school, I have been able to see from the inside how caring and intelligent the teachers and staff are. This is truly a ministry that exists to care for the souls of young people and raise them up on the narrow path. Students can recite scripture as well as doctrinal truths. They are also presented with biblical principles within every subject along with having theology classes. As a classical school, students take Logic and Rhetoric courses that teach them how to analyze information and communicate effectively. This school also teaches Latin starting from Kindergarten. Your child can join chess club or maybe service club, where they can take part in serving the local community.
