Key Food Supermarkets — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I've been going to this Key Food for about 9 years (since I moved into the neighborhood) and I have to say that the people who work there are very polite, friendly and helpful. I only know one of their names but I feel like I know most of them because I see them so often.

In many supermarkets, the people who work there don't even acknowledge your existence, they just want you to buy stuff and leave. But this Key Food isn't like that at all. I can think of a number of times just recently when I needed help finding something or whatever and someone helped me without my even asking. They really seem to have a policy of making sure their customers have a good experience shopping there.

The produce is fresh, the store is always clean, they even pay attention to how many people are online at the checkout because very often when a line has more than 3 or 4 people on it, they immediately have someone open a new register and call you over.

And the people who work there must be happy with their jobs because a good number of the young people who a saw start what must have been their first paying job there, I'm still seeing those same faces years later.

I got nothing but nice things to say about this store, not one complaint. :)

I can't believe a store in F.P. gets worse and worse. Had stopped in after a while the other day. When I was checking the cantaloupe, my thumb exploded into the rotten fruit- they had also been frozen prior. This was the situation before. Never is there a GOOD priced Key Food Dept meat dept sale, even though the people working there are still unfairly paid. Many a car has been damaged so the bussling K.F. decided to "PATCH" when the black top had to be done, their way of saying thank you to there devoted customers. You guys are the white trash sister of the neighborhood. You should be devoted to the poor elderly that have to walk to a grocery store. Like some other stores, offer them Senior Discount Days. 5/1/2020. So early this morning I witnessed an employee purchasing two 20 packs of Scott bath tissue. This employee was being checked out by the manager of the store. I approached this manager and asked where I could find the Scott bath tissue and he told me "what ever is on the shelf is what we have". So I went to the so-called shelf where this toilet tissue is normally and there was NONE. I then approached another manager that was in that isle and explained to him what just occurred. He explained to me that there is NO Scott bath tissue in the store. I showed him the employee purchasing it and he was very disturbed. Apparently the front end manager knows where the tissue is and is holding it for employees only. So if you plan on shopping at this store location, please know they are not doing right by...
