This converted storm sump was opened in 2000, and describes itself as a bird sanctuary. The open hours are noon to 5pm daily, and it closes for the winter on Thanksgiving weekend, re-opening the following April. It's maintained, meaning the flowerbeds and such, by several volunteers. It makes for a pleasant walk during the warmer weather and there are lots to interest young children down in the grassy bottom of the park. Read moreThe garden is nicely maintained, with a variety of plantings and different bed areas, some with a certain theme (for example a rose garden, a sensory garden, a shade garden.) Around the Garden area is a nice walking path that features various beds, benches, ornamental trees and memorials dedicated by the volunteers who maintain the gardens. Con's: hours for the park are limited, the garden closes at 6pm, so weekends are really the only time most people can use it. Some weed and waste issues, sometimes people don't clean up after their dogs. People use the walking path as a bike path and it's...
