Orangetheory Fitness — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I was scheduled for a 9:30a.m class and wasn’t able to make it so I called around 9:00a.m and switched to a 7:00p.m class. I spoke to Nick, and everything was fine and no problem. A few minutes after i got called into work so I was unable to attend the 7:00p.m class so i was within the 8-hour cancellation period, meaning no fee so i cancelled through the app. A couple hours later i checked the app and someone (Nick) put me BACK IN THE CLASS. I didnt see what the problem was if i was well within 8-hour cancellation to cancel the class just like the policy says! As the manager that was very petty and i felt targeted. If there was a problem he couldve clearly contacted me and we could of resolved it. If i didnt check I would’ve gotten charged $12 without knowing. I’ve never had a problem with this gym but now i do. After I noticed this I called the gym again and spoke to a nice young lady and she helped me out but this isnt right there was no need to put me back in the class if i had cancelled it within my...

I love orangetheory and the workers are super ..The couches always go the extra mile ..After my workout today ..I was informed about a new policy .The policy is the member is aloud to sign up for there number station in the class half hour before ..which always was ..BUT now the policy changed You are not aloud to sign up with your station number and leave the studio ie maybe relax in the car in the front or sit outside ..You MUST stay inside the studio . IfYou are never late for class or even simple just not show up ..why must you have to sit inside the studio .. As a member for a long time ..I sign up and sit in car to work on private things ..it’s annoying to know we have to sit inside studio.. The reason for signing in earlier is bc the classes fill up bc like I said it’s a good fast workout ..I find this to be a weird policy..wondering how others feel about...

So I went to take class with a friend last night and I was able to make an earlier class so I called to switch times so I wouldn’t be charged. I woke up this morning and I looked at my credit card statement and bam a no show charge of $12. I called this morning and the guy that was working front desk said I was charged because I never took myself out of the 8:15. I replied no I called to make sure I could switch and that I wouldn’t be charged. They said they would refund, but I’m just very disappointed their front desk dropped the ball. Come on OTF Merrick this has never happened at my home gym in Bethpage, or the number of other OTF locations I have been to. Keep an eye on your card statements to make sure you are not being charged!!! OTF gets enough of your money. Disappointed with the service, will not...
