Bagel Chalet - Merrick — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

First time I came into this business I got the cinnamon walnut cream cheese on a bagel and it was $4 with tax I think. Barley any cream cheese on the bagel. I go back a second time and they put a lot on my bagel and I was happy, didn't even have to ask! But now my third time back and no cream cheese again ( this time I asked and was told he put a lot on lol ) and it's not even a full size bagel, its one of those skinny bagels that I still paid $4 for with no cream cheese.... Thanks for my $4 bagel smh.

Business's want to know why they make no money, and its because you charge a lot and can't even make the product properly! Like seriously you're gonna be grimy with CREAM CHEESE?

After me and my friends go to the gym or whatever we do, we expect a meal to fill us up and it's very annoying when you drive all the way to a place just to not be able to eat the food. P.S. Ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with butter. Got cream cheese. This may seem small and trivial but bagel chalet has gotten so bad lately with their service. The bagels are great, but there are constant mistakes. This place has 10 people sitting down and a few on line, it’s not crazy busy where they can’t pay attention and listen. 7/10 times we have a problem here. Usually it takes a very long time to get our order because they put it on top of the toaster To Go meanwhile we said to stay, and it’ll be wrong or it’ll be wrapped up to go instead of given in a tray which again, doesn’t seem like a big deal but it comes down to listening. The staff aren’t listening closely to the customers and are screwing orders up. There’s no accountability. No leadership. No manager on duty. No veteran staff to guide anyone. It’s all kids and people who may not have the greatest English, hence all the mistakes. We have looked past it many times but I think they’ve lost...

I went into the Bagel Chalet this morning to order breakfast and was completely turned off after placing an order. There was what appeared to be a fruit fly infestation specifically in the area with the danishes, muffins etc., which is unacceptable in a good establishment. I brought it up to one of the workers who stated that “she knows and people tell them all the time”. If they are aware of this then why is this still an issue and how long has this been going on for. I am in disbelief that they continue to sell these items to unsuspecting consumers knowing this issue. They need to dispose of the food and address the infestation. I brought this matter up to the manager before leaving, who appeared nonchalant about the issue as well. Prior to leaving the store, he appeared to be removing one of the containers of sweets and fanning the flies as though that would resolve the problem. I will never eat from this place again and this makes me weary...
