My boyfriend and I came here for dinner one night and after this experience we couldn’t wait to share with everyone. The ambiance is romantic, elegant and classy. Right off the water, I can’t wait to come here during the summer I just know it’s going to be even more amazing to be able to sit outside. Our server was Ximena she was kind and patient with us and also gave some suggestions on menu items.
To drink we had the chance to try many options and they got better and better each time. The Rosemary lemon drop was so good served in a rock glass and was so much more than what we expected. The Dark forest was one of my favorites I def say try this. The Fresh Mojito was one of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. If you come here for drinks and apps alone you will be on cloud 9. I heard happy hour is amazing I can’t wait to come for that ($1 oysters). The oyster shots are amazing spicy but amazing.
We ordered the House oysters which are the absolute best on nautical mile so fresh, excellent taste. Cajun baked clams my boyfriend enjoyed I couldn’t have them since they had sausage however he enjoyed them and said they were really good also. The Cornflake shrimp is an absolute must have delicious, fried to perfection and the sauce was a great addition. We also got the Grilled octopus which was good it comes with a small bean salad which is served cold. I enjoyed this is was cooked well and not to oily. For entrees we had the linguine and clams which had plenty of clams. It also had good flavor and the portion was good. We also had the fried whole red snapper which was fried to perfection and beautifully presented. It came with sauces and crispy plantains very delicious. For dessert we got one of the most popular items which is the pistachio ricotta cake I love pistachio so this was also a...
Read moreWe took a little drive out to Nautical Mile today it’s not the typical season to visit, but a few restaurants are still open and offering amazing service without all the summer traffic (which is such a plus!).
We decided to try Off the Hook, and it turned out to be a great choice!
We started off with some Saratoga still water served with fresh lemon ❤️ I love little details like that, they really matter. For drinks, he had a Hennessy beer, and I went with a spicy passion margarita (recommended by our waitress, Christina). She was right it was delicious! Nice and spicy, just how I like it. My second one wasn’t quite as spicy as the first, so make sure to tell them to keep it spicy!
He started with oysters first the Rockefeller oysters (6 for $25). He said they were decent but not quite like the ones he’s had in Louisiana 😝. For round two, he tried the Blue Point South Shore oysters (since it’s Oyster Week they were $2 each). He chose them because Christina said they were larger and she was right!
The other oyster selections included Fire Island South Shore, Montauk Pearl, and Barnstable Cape Cod. I had the chicken wings they were delicious, and full of flavor.
For our main dishes, he ordered the whole Branzino with mashed potatoes, and I had the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. My salad needed a little more dressing. I hate a dry salad
The overall experience was wonderful the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the music was a great mix of everything, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. Christina was friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable.
Even though most spots are closed during the colder months, Off the Hook is still open so be sure to stop by and check them out. You won’t be...
Read moreMyself and a few friends went to brunch here. At the end of our lunch the waitress comes over to take the payment. She splits the bill in four and uses a wireless credit card machine to take each of our payments. At the end we notice she’s still standing at our table fumbling with the machine, we ask if everything was okay she says no and that two of our payments didn’t go through. We all quickly open our banking apps to notice all four payments had in fact gone through. She then say’s she’ll be back and shortly after she’s speaking with who seems to be the shift manager we over hear him say “Oh you charged everything to the wrong table”. At that point we all get up and proceed to leave as we approach the exit the manager is like “ The payment didn’t go through”, we all open and show our banking apps with payments in fact going through, then he goes “oh well we have to refund it and recharge your card because it went to the wrong table”. I say no, the waitress then begins to yell “I understand you’re upset but we need to recharge your card”. We all were puzzled and in shocked, I walked out into the doorway of the exit standing firm on my no and my friends followed behind. The fact that there was no apology for blatantly lying and saying the payments didn’t go through was so disrespectful and embarrassing. They literally tried to gaslight us because the waitress made a mistake and wanted to inconvenience us because of her ignorance. People sitting down eating started looking at us as if we were trying to walk out instead of the clueless waitress and imbecilic manager telling the truth about their mistakes. Yeah we won’t be back and regret spending over $235 not including the tip at this...
