When I moved home from college in 2011 I was at the dentist when I got a call for a job interview, scheduled for that following day. Although exciting, I also looked like a kid fresh out of college with overgrown roots, and panic’d about what to do with my hair in 24 hours being that I would never get an appointment so last minute; I didn’t even have a salon being freshly back in town. The hygienist at the dentist recommended her friend Lisa from touch of class and assured me she’d be able to get me in that day. Given the short notice I would have taken any appointment without thinking twice, but my experience with Lisa and touch of class was so great that I’m still a client 12 years later.

Lisa and her co-owner Elayne offer top notice hair service, but on top of that, they have the secret ingredient that everyone wants in a hair dresser; they take you in as one of their own and truly become your friend. Hair salons are a dime a dozen but finding the right salon that provides great service AND is the right fit can take a lifetime. 12 years later Lisa is still the only person that touches my head, but also the person I update on my every life event every 8 weeks. I’ve been going to this hair salon for quite a few years now and I only go to Lisa and the reason why I say that is because I’m very very picky very particular and Lisa is a perfectionist! I usually get ahead of highlights and low lights and drive her crazy that there’s not enough blonde in there or not brown lol! I had an appointment and instead of doing my regular I asked her to do a balayage and showed her a Picture… And she’s very honest and said it’s not going to look like this, but I could get it to look like this and she showed me another picture and I was totally fine with that! Lisa, my hair I sit under the dryer get my hair washed. I got a toner put on and then I hear OK take her out.! I was so excited to see the reveal As I was getting my hair blown, I was trying to sneak peaks at the pieces that were dry, but they wouldn’t let me around into the mirror and could not stop staring my hair came out so beautiful. I came in with a botched baylayage hair job I got done a week ago. I requested warm dark caramel baylayage at a hair salon in Yonkers and they completely messed up my hair. It looked horrible and some of my hair came out orange and brassy. Some parts of my hair were chunky with uneven colors and some parts of my hair had no color…which is not baylayage at all. It just looked terrible. I called Touch of Class II and Lisa immediately told me to come in the same day, that she would fix it. She colored over the bad job and redid the baylayage to the color I wanted. It came out so beautiful and I’m completely in love with my hair. Lisa is amazing. This salon has amazing customer service and cares about the needs of their clients. Lisa now has a new forever customer because this is the only salon I will come to from now on.
