Long time customer here! I love the store and love that every time I shop here they have different items that’s the entire reason I go because you never know what they might have I just stop there to see what they have even when I don’t need anything. Sometimes I stop randomly after work not needing anything but I walk out with a cart full of cool stuff because it’s cheap. I own a auto repair shop so when they have stuff related to my business and it’s cheap I buy a lot of it. The only thing I do not like is shopping for 30+ minutes then waiting in line for 20 minutes to cash out . Some times I go to Ollie’s just to grab one item that takes me 1 min to find and then I leave because I’m not standing in line for 20 minutes for my one item. Many times I have just left the store and went somewhere else to buy what I wanted and pay more money just so I don’t have to wait in line and I’m not saying it happens every time. The cashier is doing just fine I’m not saying they aren’t doing a good job. The company should put a system in place where if the line has more than 2 people in line the cashier asks the manager or someone else to help cash people out. Or maybe put in a self check out. I have seen many people leave the store without buying anything because they don’t want to wait in line either. Again nobody is doing a bad job, no employees need to be yelled at, it doesn’t happen every time I’m at the store, I still will be a customer it’s just something the company should do better with by putting a system in place to make the customers experience better which will make the company more money. I know for my businesses when I have a customer with cash in hand waiting to spend it with me I need to do whatever I need to do to accommodate my customer so they don’t spend their money with...
Read moreI come here once a month to see what they have. I generally buy supplies for my business. Generally the prices very reasonable however I have noticed that many things in the automotive section like most of the aerosol cans like brake cleaner, carb cleaner, penetrating oil and stuff like that generally isn’t a deal it’s usually the same price as if you went to a regular store and there is no denying it because this stuff stays on the shelves for a very long time yet the prices never go down even when the products are on the shelves for months which makes no sense because why waste the space in the store for stuff that’s just gonna sit there when you can use the space to sell stuff that’s a better deal that will sell fast. The automotive/hardware section is where I buy most of my stuff and I use to come in the store once a week to buy stuff but the past few years it seems like it’s generally the same stuff sitting on the shelves because it’s priced to high so I’m only coming in once a month or maybe once every other month. I mean they have had cans of r-134a refrigerant on the shelves for what seems like years now because it’s just not a good deal it’s the same price if you go to Walmart.
Generally the cashier lines move pretty quickly but when they get busy the lines are so long and I have put my items down and left the store because it was taking so long. The last time this happened there was only one cashier and about 10 people in line but there were multiple employees walking around stocking shelves one of the employees should have opened another cash register to help out so people didn’t leave the store without buying anything. Nothing worse then shopping for 45min then having to wait in line for 20 minutes. But overall it’s still a great place to go to...
Read moreAwful staff and clientele. I was just here with my daughter, trying to buy her a few small toys. 3 items is all we had and a couple jumps in front of us, in line when the guy at the register calls over the next person person. This couple was doing an exchange, which obviously takes way longer than 3 small items to ring up and check out. The guy at the register did look at us, knowing it was wrong, but didn't tell the customers to wait their turn or call us ahead. He just let it happen. Will NEVER be returning to this location as a result. If you let customers treat other customers rudely or poorly, it sets a horrible example to people. My daughter included. To let people cut in line, in front of a small child!!! My daughter understood why we walked out of that store and refused to do business with them further. She also agreed that the couple was rude by cutting in line. She didn't get her toy, as a result, as well as the fact we needed to get to dinner anyways, but to the couple that cut in line, "shame on them". To the staff who didn't do anything to prevent it and just watched and took them, "shame on you". And to management who hires these people without spines? "Do better". I wasn't going to yell at the customers who cut my daughter and I, and make a scene in front of her. But management should know of this experience at around...
