I have done a lot of research over the past few months to try to make my own wine, spoke to several people that make their own wine and went in to purchase grapes somewhat confident. I asked for a little advice on which grapes to mix and they sent me to talk to Joe in the back. Really glad I did, he was already talking to a few people, several were standing there just listening. Everything he was explaining matched my research but explained the parts that would be difficult to word in an article and book. He put several myths people asked about to rest and everyone in the room walked out very happy to have listened.
If you are trying to make wine for the first time or just looking for quality grapes in a sanitary warehouse this is the spot to go. If you go during Joe's hours he will spend time walking you through what you are trying to make, they have all the products needed soup to nuts to make the best wine. I ended up purchasing a few add on item I thought I didn't need from talking to "old timers" about wine making, his rational makes sense and I viewed it as insurance on my wine.
