Don’t believe a word he says. Can not be trusted.Phil held my external hardrive hostage for 4 months.finally after so much back and forth I was fed up, went in there with my iPhone recording him saying he sent it to a lab. I have video of him pretending to dial a lab, pretending to speak to someone on the other end. I called the lab and they had no clue who he was and didn’t recognize the fake order number he gave me. Why he did this is beyond my comprehension. For months I said if he couldn’t fix it to just give it back to me. He would have his employees say he was on a call anytime I called to check on the drive. All I could think was maybe he broke it worse than it already was and didn’t want to take responsibility. I did end up sending it to a lab myself and they said the data wasn’t able to be retrieved. My hardrive sat in his store for 4 months. When I sent it to a lab it took only 4 days for me to ship it, have them check it and then ship it back. I’ve lost my family photos and videos. Maybe if he would’ve just said he couldn’t fix it, gave it back and I had gone somewhere else, they could’ve fixed it but his ego wouldn’t let him be honest. I brought my PC laptop in because it was running super slow and most programs weren’t working. Phil was attentive, took the time to thoroughly discuss the issue, and gave me a fair quote to diagnose the problem. Turns out my operating system was completely corrupted and had to be replaced. The job took much longer than originally anticipated (all my files and photos had to be transferred to an external hard drive, then replaced on the restored laptop), but he did not charge more than the quote for the diagnosis, and that amount was deducted from the final price.
