on 11/29/19, my vehicle was damaged at a home depot store at 1220 Route 300 Newburg, NY 12550. I was purchasing carpet installation with a consultant. I returned to my car approx at 1:45 PM to find the damages. Upon my return, there was no vehicle to the right of me where damages occurred. I solicited the help of a store manager Lynn Coppage who took report of the damages and my contact information. she agreed to file a claim with Home Depot's insurance company. 2 weeks later I received a call from Alan Moffitt from Sedgwick, the claim examiner. Alan called me on 12/30/19 with his conclusion: "you were at the wrong place at the wrong time" and explained there is nothing he can do for me. I asked him to share details of his investigation with me and he adamantly declined. he declined to share what he learned from camera footage he had allegedly reviewed. I asked if he could kindly consider monetary compensation of any amount for such a terrible experience to help with the damages but he declined. Later that afternoon, on 12/30/19, I contacted Customer Care to speak on such horrible store experience. I spoke with Elizabeth at Customer Care who said the best she could do was send an email to the local store manager where the damages occurred to see "what he could do for you, if anything." I am in disbelief that customer care would respond to a customer in that manner and I am more at awe at the lack of good customer service. no one tried to offer me a solution that would at the least help Home Depot keep my business and no effort was taken to help satisfy or comfort me after such a terrible experience. It is clear that Home Depot does not take customer service seriously on any...
Read moreIf I could give no star, I would. The worst customer service ever. No staff, and when you find someone, they disappear to find someone in the department. Then, eventually, don't come back. I should have made this review last year but decided not to. I said I wouldn't purchase anything from this place ever again. But here I am, giving them a 2nd chance. Last January, I ordered a door and storm door. I paid cash. My delivery was scheduled for March. I didn't receive the door until almost June. I went to the store to cancel and get a refund. They told me I had to wait until the door came. Then, get charged a shipping fee before getting refunded. Fast forward to this year. I purchased a refrigerator. Delivery set for today with a 4 hour window 11:30-3:30pm. I was notified around 12:30 that my purchase was out for delivery. At 4:45 pm, I called customer service. They said delivery time has changed to 3:30pm - 7:30pm. Did i say i stayed home from work today? I received a call at 6:41pm from the driver saying they had problems with the truck and can't deliver until Monday. He said the fridge is on the truck and they had problems with DOT weight station. All of this is a bunch of lies. He then tells me they started further up and didn't have any deliveries in my area. Then why email and text me that my purchase is on the way. I literally live 10 minutes away from the store they picked up...
Read moreI am a contractor who buys a lot of materials from different Home Depots in different areas, and the Newburgh Home Depot is one of the most disorganized I have seen. Today for example I went to buy sheetrock of 1/2 "x 8Fts. X10Fts. And x 12Fts. And other things, when I went to the area of the sheetrock I noticed that it was full of wood, fences etc. etc. This is very frequent in this home depot (They block the materials because they do not order things), since they leave them piled up as soon as they pass the front door. I asked a store employee to please "help" me to move all those things, because they were blocking the sheetrock that I needed at that time, the employee's response was -THIS IS NOT MY AREA, LOOK FOR THE ONE WHO WORKS IN THIS SECTOR- After many attempts to seek help (which I did not get) I had to move all the materials that blocked the sheetrock of 10 and 12 Fts. Another problem is that in the case of the sheetrock (all the time) it is damaged on the sides. When I was finally able to get the materials that I needed and after paying I started looking for an employee to give me a hand, because there is an associate designated to help load materials in the parking lot (I didn't say with this employee). I don't like leaving bad references and burning a business, but it happened to me many times at the home depot...
