I'm giving this store one star because there is no lower option I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in my latest experience.
I shop here all the time with my daughter who likes to make beaded necklaces.
So when I needed candle wax it was the first place I thought of.
I called in advance and spoke to a sales representative who is shirred me they had the candle wax I needed at a price I could live with.
I actually passed by another Michaels on my way to this store since I knew they had what I wanted.
When I arrived they had none!
Several employees tried to help me locate the proper material I needed this as a gift it was very important that I have it that day even though I could have bought it online for about 40% less $.
After about a half hour of looking the gentleman that was helping me Mark went to another room to see if they had it in the back.
About 20 minutes later he returned with a slip for $10 off and told me that he called the Brookfield store and that they had three of them and they were setting one aside for me.
Even though I wanted more than one I appreciated his help.
When I arrived in Brookfield over an hour away they did not have any either and to make it worse they had not had any and had not set any aside.
The young lady that was helping me in Brookfield was trying to make it right and offered me a gift card to ease the pain.
When she had difficulty setting up the gift card she called the store manager and he told her not to give me one that it was not their fault that it was the Newburgh store had not called. Not sure how he could possibly know that?
So she called the Newburgh store the night time manager told us that Mark was a manager in training and he must have made a mistake that he was no longer there at that time and that she would have the store manager Mike Smith called me the next day when he got in so he could make it right!
Mr. Smith never called
Thanks to Michaels I went from hero to zero in no time at all actually it took hours that I will never get back but when I called and they said they had the material I pass the word along that I would get it everyone else stopped looking

Read moreWorst experience ever at the Newburgh location. I went in bought what I needed, PAID for it. Any mother with a two year old would know what it’s like for your child to grab everything and end up buying it because they won’t let go. My daughter got a ball and would not let it go, even the cashier saw that she wanted it so she scanned it and gave it back to me with no bag. So that transaction was done and I thought I was able to pick up my online order up at the register so i asked, and the lovely cashier Terre, directed me over to the frame section where I could pick up my order. I went there and the amazing guy gave me my order so I was out about my business quickly. However, when I walk out, one of the sales associates/cashier walked behind me and yelled “THATS WHAT YOUR GOING TO TEACH YOUR KID, TO STEAL” I was furious at that moment and figured she was talking to me so I went back inside and went off on her I was pissed. That ignorant lady “assumed” I stole the ball which in fact i paid for. Super disappointed with Michaels today. When I went to pay it rang up at $34.99 and when I told the cashier that there was a discrepancy she seemed like she wanted to be at home instead of there and said “I don’t know what to tell you “ I told her “ I don’t want you tell me anything I want you to do your job and resolve the issue” she then tried to get me to go look for a manager myself.
