Market Fresh Supermarket — Local services in Town of Newburgh

I visited Market Fresh on Saturday, April 12, to purchase groceries. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by an issue at the checkout. The cashier incorrectly rang up items that weren't mine, and when I asked her to remove them and refund my money, she responded with aggression and hostility.

Her reason for the delay was that she hadn't taken a break, which didn't seem relevant to the situation. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told that their names couldn't be revealed due to store policy. After a 15-minute wait, a staff member finally refunded my money without apologizing or acknowledging the cashier's behavior.

As a cash-paying customer, I was disappointed by the dismissive treatment, especially compared to customers using SNAP benefits. I expect better service when I've earned my money and am paying for my groceries. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to...

by far the worst customer service. if i could give this super market a 0 I would because it’s not even worth a 1 star honestly. There was an associate walking around full on uniform with earphones in his ear, I ask him a simple question, “do you guys have the little Jello cups, that already come made?” and he goes, “i don’t know, i’m off the clock”, and walked away. Pretty essential place if you live in the area and want to cook any kind of authentic Latin/Mexican/Caribbean food, they have everything you need for that both produce and otherwise. Pretty much everything in store that caters to that kind of food and cooking will be very fresh and really reasonably priced.

Everything not belonging to that category will probably be more expensive than other stores in the area. It makes a great second stop on a grocery trip when you need those special...
