A very welcome addition to neighbourhood stores in suburban housing district bordering Queens, NY. With Stop & Shop. Panera Bread, Old Navy, 5 Below already established, this 22,000 sq.ft. HomeGoods location is the ideal gap to fill in the strip that boasts of 400+ parking spaces. The store is very well stocked with Christmassy stuff in opening week, aside from the houseware staples. Curious chaos of shoppers will transition to wholesome shopping experience soon; hoping that inconsiderate browsers do not amp-up clutter in this beautiful store. Apart from the usual layout, a set of angled isles is not only intelligent use of elbow-bend floor plan; but also lends to creative display ideas. Nice! Amused to notice this store has made it a point to tap into pet friendly denizens by unleashing the joy of a well-stocked 'Pet Section'. In coming months, their merchandisers might have some figuring to do but I'm looking forward to extra zing in neighborhood window & yard decor, this Christmas Season, during morning walks through New Hyde Park, Garden City Park, Stewart Manor, Hillside Manor, Floral Park areas - homeground of this...
Read moreSahir is the worst and rudest cashier I ever met. She has no customer service skills whatsoever. Very rude and unprofessional. She goes you want to save $10. I’m like how? She goes you’ll get store credit let me just see your ID and you’ll get a credit of $10. In my head I’m like alright sure but to good to be true…only to find out that she’s trying to get me to sign up for their credit card. Like excuse me you never specifically asked me if I want to open a TJX credit card and then you’re asking for all my personal info. Then my total was like $13.68 and I’m paying with cash. She goes just give me $14 in a rude tone. Like umm no that’s not for you to decide lady. Just Be careful with her cause she talks super super fast on purpose to dupe you into one of their b.s corporate offerings so take your time with her or any cashier. Better yet instead of ruining your shopping experience, just go elsewhere. You also don’t get good vibes from this Home Goods and it’s always disorganized and find...
Read morePlease be advised that at Homegoods they aim to please . Unfortunately if items come back with no tags or reference that they are actually from Homegoods the items cannot be returned. It puts the cashier and management in a horrible position. As explained it has to do with policy and the acknowledgment that there is steps to a return. Have a receipt, or the same card you purchased with , this way we can look up a purchase, or have a tag on the item that shows it’s from HOMEGOODS. We love to satisfy the customer. Unfortunately this was one of those situations where the odds worked against the policy. We all have to do our part to make a return successful for the Customer and the cashier and lastly HOMEGOODS. Let’s all work together for BETTER RESULTS!! Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation on the...
