Disappointing Experience at Nail Salon: Unprofessional Service and Hidden Fees
Review:
I recently visited this nail salon and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the service itself was average and nothing particularly outstanding, what stood out the most was the salon's unscrupulous business practices. I feel compelled to share my experience, as I believe customers should be aware of what they might encounter.
Upon completing my manicure, I proceeded to make the payment as expected. To my surprise, the lady at the counter informed me that tips must be paid in cash. This was not mentioned anywhere in the salon, and as a first-time customer, I was taken aback by this sudden demand. I explained that I didn't have cash on me and was met with an additional request to add an extra $1 to give the nail technician their tip.
Naturally, I was confused and asked for clarification as to why this extra charge was necessary. The lady claimed it was their company policy, citing some vague "law." I questioned the existence of such a law that would obligate me to pay an extra fee for tipping. It's worth mentioning that I was using Mastercard, which already covers all the necessary transaction fees, unlike American Express.
Rather than providing a satisfactory explanation, the lady at the counter became argumentative. While tipping is generally considered voluntary, this establishment treated it as mandatory and insisted that it must be paid in cash.
Based on this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this nail salon to others. There are numerous other places in the area that offer superior service without resorting to such dubious tactics. Customers should feel comfortable and well-informed when visiting a salon, and unfortunately, this establishment fell short on both fronts.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a nail salon that prioritizes transparency, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Your nails deserve to be pampered at a salon that values its clients and doesn't engage in questionable practices. Also my previous review was deleted I hope this will...
Read moreI called for an appointment for a regular pedicure and a Powder Gel Manicure. I asked for an appointment. They said come in we can take you. I get there and wait 30 minutes for a pedicure. You get switched off for a Manicure . Also waited another 15 minutes because the person who does your pedicure doesn’t do your manicure so you have to wait for someone to become available. After the manicure was done which is dry because it’s SNS I was left to wait an additional 15 minutes while they took another customer. Customers are sitting waiting and waiting because they turn no one away. I wasn’t even sure they were done I got some cream on my hands and they walked away from me. Just absolutely ridiculous how they over book and take all walk ins. People with appointments waiting for 30 and 40 minutes. I have gone here several times and it’s always the same. I will not...
Read moreI visited this nail salon last week, and while the place looked nice since it had just opened, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite not realizing that the reviews were fake when I looked it up on Google, I decided to give it a try. While my nail technician was friendly, I ended up with multiple deep cuts that caused me pain for several days.
Furthermore, what bothered me even more was the salon's policy of only accepting tips in cash. If you wanted to add a tip to your card, they would charge you an extra $1, which I found absurd. I tried to explain this to the girl charging me, but she insisted that it was a business policy that must be followed.
To sum up, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. Don't fall for the fake reviews online, and don't get scammed by their tipping policy. It was a disappointing...
