Absolutely disappointed with the experience at the NHP Town Hall. From the moment I walked in, the two ladies sitting at the front desk were rude and dismissive — barely looked up, no greeting, just acted like I was a burden for asking basic questions. The men behind the desks were even worse: sitting around, talking to each other, making jokes, and when I asked for help, one of them actually talked back to me in a sarcastic and lazy tone like I was the one inconveniencing him.
This is a public service office, not a private hangout spot. It’s unacceptable how the staff treats people who come in with legitimate concerns or needs. The attitude was unprofessional and downright disrespectful. No one should have to feel like they’re being a nuisance just for asking questions.

DPW and the building department have been helpful each time I've reached out. Getting a permit is not some scary, penalizing, bankrupting process. I'd prefer not having my neighbor's home catch on fire from shoddy electrical work, amirite? The whole 'community park' situation is definitely controversial but understandable, given that the Village doesn't have a ton of exclusive amenities.
