Had I known the flowers I ordered online as part of a birthday gift - to be delivered the next day - would not be delivered until 2:00 p.m. (even though we live just a few minutes drive from the store), I would have just figured out a way to pick them up. In my opinion, that's simply just too late in the day for a birthday gift (they were aware it was a gift as it included a birthday message). When the flowers were finally delivered, the party had ended, everyone had long before given their gifts, and people were leaving. The flowers themselves were absolutely beautiful, but the delay in her receiving them really just made them anticlimactic. Also, would it be too much to include one of those little packets of "flower food" to add to the water? Had they been delivered sometime in the morning - come on, at least before noon - I would have left a far better review. Definitely recommend the flowers. CAUTION: Came in for a bouquet if flowers for my moms birthday, the guy seemed nice so I asked him to make me a bouquet with three roses and some lilies. He told me lilies were about $15 for a bouquet. I gave him my card without asking for a price, he took advantage and charged me $76 for few lilies and 3 roses!!! I didn't look at it until I was already in the car. My fault, but he seemed like a decent guy, there goes the saying "looks can be deceiving" I hope that rip off was worth a customer to him. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ASK HOW MUCH HE WANTS FOR A BOUQUET 💐, if he sees a chance to take advantage of you he will. It's very sad that you can't trust people that do business in your own neighborhood. The flower are good quality, but $20 per rose is excessive! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!

Update: the flowers,especially Roses, are very long lasting which very much impressed me. Today is the 29th and the last Rose is still standing strong! It was Bought on the 12th! So my rating...

This was my first experience calling New Hyde Park Florist! I called and Bill answered.. the rest was history! I needed a bouquet of flowers to send to a nearby hospital for the birth of a baby boy! I asked Bill if there can be blue hydrangeas and he said of course and he also added beautiful white roses and white lillies with a touch of greenery. It was stunning the way the arrangement looked. Matter of fact it was perfect with a Mylar balloon added. I called Bill before noon and 20 min later he had them ready to go to the hospital! I gave him the address and the mothers name, however it was the wrong hospital! Bill called me up right away to let me know she was not at that hospital but at a different hospital in Manhasset! I had no idea! Bill went above and beyond to find the room number besides and delivered them! She had them within the hour! I appreciated all Bill did for me that day!
