We held a rehearsal dinner there. I viewed the place and asked for us to be seated in the back room on the LEFT side as the tables were nicely separated and the ppl at the gathering would be able to FREELY move about and mingle. I couldn't connect with a banquet manager as I was told she was out with a urinary tract infection (I did tell the gentleman he should avoid telling people that) I was sent text messages from an app and told that the right side of the room was bigger. I didn't agree but was assured it was. Oh, I also told them at booking I loved the way the tables were set up and did not want them to be re-arranged for one long table. The night of the dinner we arrived and of course the right side of the room was set up with one long table and pushed SO close to the wall that the chairs hardly pulled out. We spoke with someone and initially got the I mean what can we do attitude. We hoped to make it work but we had ONE extra person, and the seating was already TWO short. To make matters worse they seated a much older couple at the end of our one long table (just a bit to the left) making it even harder to get to sit. After I told them it just wasn't going to work they offered to move us outside. Of course it was just starting to pour so that was a no go. After some re-arranging we ate dinner very cramped but whatever. It was actually so cramped that our waitress spilled an entire drink down the back of one of the bridesmaids. But they assured me they didn't charge me for it (?) Waitress was actually a sweetheart, and the 1 star is for overall service setting up our disappointing venue not for her. But I was really, really disappointed with the seating and eating accommodations. I would not recommend for an event unless you were going to have enough people to rent out the entire room...
Read more24 hrs later and we are still raving everything about Park Place! I had planned a small dinner originally for my daughter’s grad, in a pinch! My daughter & bf wanted to celebrate together. I was blessed to come across Park Place who was not only willing to accommodate us but provide top notch service from start to finish. Gina helped me book our “party” in the “nook room”. She made booking easy & was quick to return my inquires. She even provided me with a place to order balloon centerpieces and a cake in the area since I’m not from the area. All of her recommendations were great. The big day came and our grad ceremony ended early. I received a friendly call from Patrick who was willing to accommodate us in their front room (unfortunately it didn’t work for our group). However Patrick still got us in the “nook” earlier. He had our balloon centerpieces set up & cake table. Before we knew it the drinks were flowing and bread was out! Our server (forgot his name) introduced himself and took everyone’s order. He was patient & accommodating. The food from start to end was amazing. We had calamari, spinach & artichoke dip & OMG the sliders, a tasty surprise! Even the Cesar salad was great. Most of our party ordered the skirt steak, nothing short of amazing. Followed by dessert, probably the best fried Oreos (never been a fan) I’ve ever had, bread pudding and vanilla ice cream to top! The space was perfect for our party from young to old. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed and left filled with great food! Thank you Gina, Patrick and...

I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for what was a truly special and meaningful weekend. The memorial you helped put together for our late friend was something we never imagined we’d have to plan, but your kindness and generosity made it an unforgettable tribute.
This journey of healing has been difficult, but the way you welcomed us and brought the community together in such a heartfelt way was incredibly touching. The memories, the conversations, and the love shared that day were possible because of you and your amazing staff. Your warmth and understanding left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. Even staying past the allotted time without rushing us out speaks volumes about the heart behind what you do.
It’s clear why people love coming to your venue—not just as customers, but as part of a family. You and your team create a place of comfort and connection, making a real difference in people's lives.
A special thank you to you and the entire staff who played a role in making that day as beautiful as it was. Special thanks to the owner, Gina and Mimi for making this memorial happen. Your kindness during such a difficult time will never be forgotten. We appreciate everything you did and will always be grateful for your generosity and support. If your looking to have any event with a personal, intimate and great food, its Park Place!
With heartfelt thanks, Christopher Bacchus Manager of Sales at Douglas Elliman...
