Update - Since my initial review JP&S reached out to amend the situation. They have been out to service our hot tub twice. Both visits and interactions with JP&S staff prior to the service visits were nothing but professional and courteous. I am grateful that we were able to work through this situation and maintain a business relationship.
I am shocked at how this business is managed. We contacted JP&S in February 2021 due to an issue with our hot tub that was under warranty. The technician made the repairs but stripped screws and left our home a muddy, wet mess. I didn't complain at the time as I'm not one that typically complains. Fast forward 8 months, we received a bill from JP&S for a $25 warranty fee. I immediately called to ask why I was receiving the bill when our hot tub was under warranty. The manager was not very friendly and explained that it takes awhile for the manufacturer to settle the warranty. I replied that I didn't feel I should be receiving a bill 8 months after service and that I wasn't paying it due to the condition the technician left our home. Her reply was that I should have contacted them at the time the technician serviced our hot tub. I thought everything was settled but continued to receive a bill with a $5 late fee every month. In October, I received a threatening letter stating that I was being sued for the $25 fee. I then sent in the $25 plus late fees with a letter stating all of the above and stated that if we were being sued for $25 we'd countersue for the damages done to the hot tub as well as our home. Approximately a week later, I received a phone call from a sweet lady stating that she was ripping up the check and apologized for the demeanor of the letter, stating that's not how they do business. I thanked her and thought everything was fine. My husband contacted JP&S today to see if our hot tub was still under warranty as we are having issues with it again. He was told by the Manager that they would no longer do business with us. I called a little later for an explanation and was told to hold while they got someone that could explain the situation to me. The same employee that answered the phone got back on and replied that we owed a debt to them and when they tried to collect it my husband became irate and threatened to sue them so it's best that we no longer do business together. Read moreWe had the best experience here. Audra helped us from the second we walked in the door. We easily took up two hours of her time asking questions and getting hot tub demonstrations. She helped us pick out exactly what we wanted and even let us customize colors. She was up front and honest about how long it would take for the hot tub to ship and arrive at our house. There were no surprises and everything went as planned. Once the hot tub was delivered my husband called the store with several more questions but the girl who answered the phone was pleasant and answered everything. He said he didn’t feel like he was bothering her at all. The last thing that happened really knocked it out of the park for us. A week after the hot tub was delivered we received a small package in the mail from Johnson’s. It was a thank you package with some smaller gifts. They don't provide much information to you and act like they are doing you a favor for buying a pool from them. I bought the fox pool that can be buried in the ground. They didn't dig it down far enough and since they were renting the excavator, they had to rush to get it back at the end of the day and left the yard a mess. They don't have very good attention to detail. They left rocks in the pool, forgot to seal some of the pipes on the pump. They also indicated that they were going to show us how to use the pool equipment. Never did. Thank goodness for Google!!
