The only 1 star message below me I have “full certainty” was written by a very recently evicted neighbor. We cannot defend prior management (hint: starts with a G, not an F) about responsiveness or an issue from a year ago not being addressed... possibly true... BUT management has recently changed over a couple months ago! THANK THE LORD! Our experience with new management has been limited but pleasant and helpful. This place had many problems (none of which are listed in that review) until new management came which “magically” are gone. So why would anyone leave a review like that for the new company and not the old one when it wouldn’t even be their fault if you didn’t get a fix last year? The new management have done upgrades on the community areas already. E.g. The new doorman in the office until the night time is THE definition of luxury. Edwan and Nicolas always have a smile on their face to help us with our amazon packages or greet us when we arrive home off the train. Our home feels like a hotel resort. Even the trash is picked up from my door. The gym equipment is fairly new (maybe 3 or 4 years old the most) and as of an hour ago is all working perfectly? And the rooftop grille is spotless and the cushions were just put back recently for the warmer months (it looks like this “person” purposely removed them and put them in the vestibule to photograph claiming they are trash left by management). My biggest issue of the salacious and false review is the comment about the gym never being cleaned. As this dishonest “BRIAN” is likely aware, this is handled by a service... it would be a shame for someone to lose their job because of a bogus review. Andreas is our building’s porter and the hardest working person in here... EVERYDAY. He cleans the gym at least thrice a day. He is frequently on his hands and knees to keep this place clean. He is a community favorite and we will not allow someone to besmirch his Hard Work or his name! SHAME ON YOU! This is...
Read moreLived here for a year, wanted to love it but disappointed with the service. The train is super loud, not a great option for light sleepers (you will be using ear plugs to sleep). The walls aren't well insulated from sound and aside from the train you can hear the music from the outdoor speakers at Starbucks playing all day every day and the sound carries into the apartments if you live at the 180 Atlantic Ave building. Due to reasons for work I frequently need to study in quiet and asked them to turn down the outdoor speakers, they said theres no way to do that and to use the business room in the main building, fine no problem. Every time I go there the music is playing in another speaker in the same room as well and they repeatedly decline to lower the volume so there really aren't any quiet areas to get work done. I need quiet study space to study for my medical boards and frequently go to the Farmingdale library but certain days it's obviously closed and it is essentially impossible to get work done if you need a quiet space. On another note Nunzi's has club nights on Thursday - Saturday nights and you can hear their bass through the walls all the way up to the third floor (I can't imagine how bad it is on the second). Aside from that there are a certain number of rowdy tenants they rent to as well so be prepared for that. For $3400/month for a 1 bed I really didn't expect this level of ruckus and noise at a luxury apartment, but hey at least there isn't a rat infestation, it can always be worse. If you rent here ensure you are not a light sleeper and you do not need quiet time at any point in your day...
Read moreNot sure how this place has a high rating. Very rude front desk workers specifically Jordan. When I first moved back in may I was showed a luxury apartment with up to date black finish washer and dryer and when I moved in I noticed there was a very old looking white old fashioned looking washer and dryer (this is false advertisement). We are now in September and I’m still being told the appliances are on “back order” which should’ve been said from day 1, but these people are obviously just greedy to get a lease signed. When I first moved in the ceiling used to leak and when they came and “fixed it” it started leaking again a couple days later, leaving our kitchen floor soaked! I thought I was paying for luxury but if I knew the service with the front desk workers, and even the corporate phone receptionists would be so poor I would’ve moved elsewhere. When I asked the receptionist to speak to someone else about my frustrations she told me to call billing, when I called billing they told me to speak to the receptionist aka concierge, when I told her (Jordan) what they told me she pretty much shrugged her shoulders and said to call them back. My shower doesn’t stay at the temperature I set it to for longer than 20 mins so if I wanted to relax and take a long shower I can’t, I have long hair so washing my hair is impossible, the water gets cold and the meter goes down to 68 degrees or even lower. I don’t recommend this building at all and if I could go back in time I’d choose a further more expensive apartment before this place if I knew what...
