Wings Over Farmingdale — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

If could give negative stars, I would. Preordered wings a week and a half prior to the Super Bowl. They were schedule to be delivered by 5pm. I chose 5 just in case they were running a little behind. Well at 5:55pm last night, I receive a text message that my order has been transferred to a 3rd party delivery service. The DoorDash driver says he's waiting. After poor communication back and forth with the driver, I find out that he only arrived at 5:45 to pick up the food. Then driver was silent - would not respond to text or phone calls. During this time, 2 other people were calling the restaurant to get an update. Finally, about 1.5 hours after the delivery time, I call Door Dash. After being put on hold for 5 minutes, I was then told my order was cancelled. Well - that clearly did not sit well as this was our only food for the night. I got in my car and drove to the store. When I arrived, there were about 20 people in the store waiting. Not one person could give me an aswer as to where my order was or why it was transferred to Door Dash. All I was told was that they were an hour behind and yet my order was now 2 hours late. And to top off this whole thing, the Manager refused to come out and talk to me. I was told to leave my number and she would call. Are you kidding me? Your employee is taking all the heat and you can't even come out to speak with me. It’s so bad! We always bought our wings from here since the day they opened! Now though it’s so bad.They changed ownership and there’s no warmth from the new staff. I had a big credit “in the book” from a problem I had and suddenly it has disappeared! I expressed my dismay and the girl says she can give me a discount on my next few orders! No thanks! I’m owed the free replacement I was promised!!! The biggest downer is they do not use breading on bone-in wings anymore so they are truly awful! We got some recently just to see if we could enjoy them without breading, but nope! There were feathers on them! Plus they were all different sizes and had bruises under the skin. They got rid of their delicious teriyaki sauce! They pour the blue cheese dressing in a cup from a huge vat! (Not very sanitary) Prices are still high but NOW it’s not even worth it. Yuck! I’ve had my last meal from Wings Over Farmingdale! If they expect to survive at all they need to go back to breading the bone-in wings, stop CHARGING ($1) for rancid-tasting blue cheese dressing that should come free!! I can’t even see if the blue cheese dressing is safe and “in date” like the original ones that had an exp date on them. This place could be a gold mine but with the high prices and all the negative changes I’m not so sure they’ll be around much longer. There are many other places to get wings around here that are cheaper, they’re breaded, and they come WITHOUT feathers and WITH free...

Placed an order 1 week in advance for the Super Bowl. Order was for 5pm.

I showed up at 5:30 pm to give them some extra time. Place was packed with people waiting for their orders. I was told that they still needed to complete their orders from 4pm and to come back in an hour.

I showed back up at 6:30 and to another full house of people waiting for their orders. Had to put my name on a waitlist that was written on the back of a receipt.

Several people asked to speak with the manager but instead of the manager addressing the 30-35 customers waiting in the lobby she chose to hide in the back while she sent this young lady (looked like a high schooler or early college years) to deal with a mob of angry customers.

Oh and I forgot to mention that while customers were waiting they continued to complete Door Dash orders that were placed that day.

Terrible management, terrible operational efficiency, one of the cooks came out front to argue with the customers instead of focusing completing the orders.

Worst ran business I’ve seen in quite some time. I’d only recommend this place to someone I despise. Total waste of time and energy.

Also I never actually got my wings. At 7pm I asked how much longer and the front desk lady said “ Maybe another 15-30 minutes” so I gave up.
