Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks of Farmingdale — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Been here twice now in the last month. I understand why they are rated #1 cheesesteak on long island. The service is good, with very friendly staff that greet you with a smile. Atmosphere is nice with a few dine in tables. More of a quick eats place where you order your food and take any available table. Very clean inside.

First time I got the signature chiddy and the disco fries. The cheesesteak was really good. Probably the best one I have found on Long Island so far. I legit love disco fries from diners. This place has a little twist and it was the steak on top of the mozzarella and gravy. It was absolutely phenomenal!!!! The 2nd time I got the cowboy and it was really good! This was recommended by the staff person that took my order. I typically am not crazy about bbq sauce on my sandwich but this was amazing! I loved every bit of this sandwich from the onion rings to the steak and the sauce. I also got a chiddys hot dog. Holy moly was that such a great hotdog! It was loaded up! This place legit does not skimp on loading it up. This is what I am all about. A lot of times with places I hate the meat/toppings to bread ratio is always either less meat/toppings to bread or equivalent. This place is more meat/toppings to bread!

In conclusion, I am definitely frequenting here and going to try everything...

As a frequent flyer of Chiddy's cheesesteaks in farmingdale, I obviously had to give the Commack location a try - and it did not disappoint.

Are you not drooling by looking at the pictures of the food I included in this review? Because all I want is more Squealin' Fries (bacon and cheese fries).

My go to order is always a custom cheesesteak because I'm a plain Jane with toppings - ribeye steak, with wiz and that's it. I think next time I will add the chipotle aioli sauce to my custom cheese steak though and a small squealin fries. With your meal you get a complimentary canned soda which I think is quite nice.

Shout out to Evan for great customer service! I tried the apple pie empanada and it was delish! I'm usually not one to order a full meal and dessert when eating out unless it's a special occasion but it soooo good and I'm glad I took Evans suggestion to try it out.

Philly comes to Long Island!

This is an excellent cheesesteak spot! The menu is loaded with mouthwatering specials such as Cheesesteak Fries, Beef & Cheddar Empanadas and a variety of chicken options for the non-red meaters. As for the cheesesteaks...they are simply delicious! The quality of the rib eye steak is top-notch! The roll is truly Philly-style and there are an abundance of toppings and cheeses to choose from. "Breakfast" is served all day with such interesting twists as Steak & Eggs, Cheesesteak Breakfast Burrito and a unique concoction called "Huevos 'n Potatoes" (steak, fries, eggs, cheese, onions and chipotle aioli). The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the customer service is very friendly. There was nothing negative about my experience here and I will definitely come back.
