UPDATED NOV 11. 2025: Sadly, have to downgrade my prior review of 5 stars. Within the past two months, (Oct - Nov 2025) the food and the service here have changed dramatically, not for the better. The two friendly servers who were here when we first began coming earlier this year are no longer here. Service is much, much slower, much less cheery, and it seems the kitchen has changed cooks. We've been twice in the past two months just to ensure we didn't hit them on a bad day the first time, but no, it seems that every day now is not good. Too bad, since we do breakfast out fairly often. On the first recent visit (Oct 14, 2025), the dishes took 23 minutes to reach the table after the order was placed. This was on a Tuesday at 8:55a and the first floor was virtually empty, so it wasn't as if the kitchen was overwhelmed. Most Long Island diners and breakfast places are order-to-table in 10 minutes, some even less. My Eggs Benedict yolks were poached to hard stage, making them dry and inedible, and the English muffin halves below the eggs were tough and overly chewy, as if they'd been kept around too long. "Special Breakfast Skillet" homefries were bland, as if they had forgotten to season them. The oranges for the freshly-squeezed orange juice apparently weren't ripe, so the juice had an edge, with no bright sweetness as it used to be here. Coffee was definitely not the same as it had been on prior visits, now bordering on bitter. Not sure whether the brand changed or the prep changed, but it was not good. The server never did follow-up once the dishes were served by the table assistant, only checking in after it was evident that we were finished. To her credit, she removed the Eggs Benedict from our check since I had eaten only a few bites of the dish. But it would have been nice if she had come back to the table in a timely manner, during the meal so I could have explained the situation, and enjoyed a full breakfast rather than just a few bites. For the most recent visit (Nov 11, 2025), the dishes took 27 minutes to arrive at the table after being ordered. Again, on a Tuesday, at 10:15a, with only three other tables being served on the first floor, and two upstairs, business was quite light. We had the same server as the prior visit, and while the table assistant was attentive on the coffee refills, the server herself was again not on top of things. For my order of 2 eggs with home fries and toast, the eggs were ordered over-medium, one was medium, the other was hard. Potatoes were fine, but the bacon clearly had an off-flavor. The coffee was again bordering on bitter. My other half's Banana French Toast looked beautiful, but the taste didn't match the looks, with both the strawberries and the bananas tasting bland. When you pay these prices (they've been raised since earlier in the year) you expect, and should receive, better quality than you'd be able to make at home. We found that used to be so here, but not anymore. We won't be returning since it's clear that this is the "new" M.O. and we don't find anything worth going back for now.

Love the home like feel of this place. Very comforting while enjoying delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The chef would even go ask everyone if they enjoyed their food which I respect that they care about their customer. I highly recommend this place. Will go back to try their Mangu.

This was an impromptu date night dinner at a restaurant we always enjoy. They only recently started serving dinner. For those wondering, they are open Thursday through Saturday for dinner until 10 pm. Menu is limited but Excellent. Our meal was excellent and our waiter, Nil, was very friendly and attentive. I ordered sirloin steak and mashed potatoes, my wife had penne ala vodka with chicken. For appetizer I had a cup of the broccoli and cheese soup fresh made and delicious. My serloin steak was not what i expected at all. But wow this was good thin steak the size of the plate, smothered in a sauce of bacon and mushrooms. Again, Wow! My wife really enjoyed her meal also. Large portions made fresh! As a side note, to atest to their hospitality, I noticed a homeless man curled up outside, under our window in the rain. We ordered the man a meal and Nil packaged it up in a to go package with a soda and then took it out to him. The gentleman was so happy and thanked us through the window. NIL spent a few minutes talking with him and then returned. Nil was so happy to have done that also and thanked us for the opertunuty to be part if that. Dessert was dissapiinting-no home made banana pudding. So intead they apologized and sent out 2 tartufo and a soft cannoli. Soft cannoli you ask? Basically it is french toast stuffed with cannoli filling, hot off the grill with powdered sugar, mini chocolate chips, and fresh strawberries. Never been so happy to be dissapointed! Over the top delicious! Please, if you're out and about in Farmingdale stop in and enjoy a good home cooked menu and very friendly hosts! 10 out of 10! You won't regret it!

Came here with my wife our baby, and another couple and their baby, for Sunday brunch a few weeks ago on October 27th around noon. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving, which was great for a Sunday brunch with no reservations. Unfortunately, we were served after nearly every single table that was seated after us was served. We watched a table of 6 adults be seated 10/15 minutes after us, and watched them all receive their full meals before any one of us. We ordered basic brunch meals, nothing fancy or out of the ordinary , didn't ask for any dietary accommodations. The waitress almost didn't even take our order after taking the other tables orders, I had to flag her down for her attention and she still decided to give the kitchen the other tables orders first before ours. We ended up spending nearly two hours thanks to the unbelievably long wait for our very simple meals for just 4 adults. We had to eventually flag down a manager for help, after already asking the waitress where our food was (to no avail).

The food was great, as a Dominican I was impressed with the mangu. But none of us want to go back ever again, we would have been better off waiting the 45 minutes to be seated up the block at the other brunch spot, we would have been done at the same time as we finished at this place. The table that was seated after us finished eating and started leaving before we were even close to finishing our plates,

We received no apologies or any sort of compensatory discount for this...
