Warhammer is for everyone. This store used to foster such a massive sense of community, that when I was not at work, I could be found here- half the time just watching some of the community members that I now call friends throw some dice around, chatting about our latest projects, talking about new releases, and wishing we all had more money to throw into armies that we would eventually get around to. The last three managers were fantastic individuals, and I cannot fault them for moving into different fields- one of them remains one of my closest friends to this day. They were what made this store whole. Yes, it is a corporate store. Yes, corporate has rules. But community members, most of whom have invested thousands and thousands of dollars, and as many in hours, into the hobby, should not be ostracized for utilizing non-GW brand items. Many of us use 3rd party paints, bases, cases and bits to make our armies ours. We still spend the money on GW products. We still buy the latest releases, often direct from the corporate store, and experience in the hobby means that, in this case, we know better. It’s a shame that much of this is being either banned or discouraged after backlash from the community, so much to a point that people don’t want to come to the store anymore. I stopped in last week to pick up a few bits, and there was one individual in the store, on a day that it used to be packed with people playing, hobbying, and chatting. Now it’s...
Read moreIf you love all things warhammer, you're going to love this store. They have a wide range of figures to help build your armies for the tabletop game and they all look amazing. Very well detailed, but also expensive. If you're new to the store you can build and paint a free miniature you can take home. You have a choice between two age of sigmar figures and one infernus marine from warhammer 40k. The staff are very helpful and will teach you painting techniques to help you paint your figures. My buddy told me about this store and ever since I painted my free miniature, I've been hooked. You can go in anytime and tell the staff about your current warhammer projects and they'll recomend tools and techniques to get the job done. Also you can go into the store and they have many painted figures on display that the staff have painted themselves. They also have tables for you to going in and work on your projects or play games with other people. They also allow you to play an introductory game with their figures to teach you the rules of the game. It's just such a great experience that even of your not interested in tabletop games you have to...
Read moreI’ve been a frequent visitor to this Warhammer store and I’m very impressed with the current management. Some recent reviews criticize the manager for being strict, but I believe these criticisms are unfair. The manager is simply following the rules and running the store properly. It seems like many of the negative reviews come from regulars who miss the previous manager, who ran the store more like a clubhouse. However, it’s important to remember that this is a retail store, and it needs to be managed professionally. The new manager is fantastic—he's knowledgeable, helpful, and ensures that the store runs smoothly. Yes, he socializes and builds and paints models for the store – that's part of his job! But he always makes customers his top priority and ensures they have the best experience possible. When I first came here I had not a clue anything about Warhammer but it seemed interesting, he was so patient to explain what it was and answered all my questions. I even built and painted my first model for free! If you’re into Warhammer or looking to get started, I highly recommend visiting this store, I'm sure you will have a...
