We went on a Saturday with our 6 and 4 year olds. We love both locations of the Littles Play Cafe so we were comparing this place to that. This place is much quieter and seems geared towards younger kids with more low-key imaginary play. As with the Littles at times, you smell grease. This smell was very overpowering though and you smell it as soon as you walk in. It also got really smoky towards the end of our visit.
Service: The girl at the register was useless. I asked questions and she knew none of the answers and didn’t look for things she said she would. She’s “not allowed” to make drinks so I had to wait for someone else to come. Only one woman was doing everything: running food, answering questions, cleaning, and seemed helpful to operations.
Parents have to take their shoes off and must wear socks. The parent sitting area is right in the middle of the play area. There are sandals to wear in the women’s restroom but the men’s room did not have them. It was a nice touch since you’re in socks everywhere. Suggest they add them to the men’s room too. Very clean bathrooms.
Food & Drink: The food was actually really yummy. The fried chicken bites was our favorite. The gyudon with kimchi was also really good. My kids loved the chicken nuggets, they’re bigger than most.
There are no coffee drinks like The Littles Play Cafe. They only have iced and hot coffee. They have an americano on the menu but it doesn’t have espresso in it according to the employees. All of the “lattes” on the menu are not coffee based. Everyone had Starbucks drinks and now I know why.
This place and the Delmar Littles Play Cafe are both 35 minutes from us. I would pick the Littles over this...
Read moreI'd give them 10/10 stars if I could. From the food to the owners to the equipment they've got for the children, everything is fantastic! My toddler (2yrs) went with my boyfriend and I today (her second time there and my first) and she was like a little tornado of fun.... So much so that she accidentally fell and bumped on my knee. Both the owners were SO concerned and kept checking on her throughout our visit. The gentleman was ALWAYS cleaning up toys and they're both so friendly. The woman said that she speaks "broken English" but honestly she spoke great English. I cannot speak highly enough about them and this business, I will definitely be bringing my daughter back. It's a cute little "hole in the wall" location that all the areas young children needed. (Pictured is a text I sent my friend...
Read moreMy daughter had such a great time here! I couldn't believe how quiet it was for a Sunday. We've been to the similar play café in Latham (The Littles Play Café) and this one was more enjoyable in my opinion. Not as crowded and the layout is spacious. I liked that the tables are in the play area, rather than outside. I feel like it made my daughter (2yo) more comfortable to play on her own knowing she could come to the table whenever she needed us. My only "complaint" would be that I wish the sand box area had the same plastic pebbles Latham uses in their sand box. The large wooden beads are pretty uncomfortable to walk and sit on. We also tried the chicken nuggets, french fries, and marshmallow smoothie. It was all really good! We will definitely...
