Typical NY strip shopping pizzeria. Each one I visit is unique in it pizza toppings, but the interior is 70's and 80's decor.
Now about the pizza. Can't ever go wrong with bacon, chicken, and ranch. Plenty of toppings and the 2nd cook just give the crust the strength to support the trip to your mouth. No fork or folding it in half required.
Now the second slice, chicken marsala? Who in the world does that to pizza? But let me tell you when he told me what it was I did not hesitate. There is no doubt better on pizza than pasta. Still can't stop talking about it. Hats off to the proprietor of this pizzeria for their creativity.
The best part of the experience was to see the locals come in, and they didn't even have to order. A simple hello and the usual from behind the counter followed by a head nod.
I highly recommend it, and I would return, but too many other pizzerias to visit Checked...
Read moreWhat a change in attitude and customer service once you think you have established! They started modestly and the community supported them especially during the pandemic. I have been customer too. Services were ok especially when the guy (owner) was taking the order or serving. When I asked about it the lady who took the order was defensive and confrontational. When I requested to speak to the owner (guy) who I have met several times, she informed me that she is then owner and that’s her husband! She will not even admit the mistake in the order nor was customer friendly. I can see the attitude taking them...
Read moreStopped in for takeout today. Been here once before a couple years ago. 7 different pizzas were displayed in the case as well as garlic knots, calzones and Jamaican beef patties. 4 additional pies were in the oven. I opted to try 2 of those: a CBR slice and a chicken Parmesan slice. $13.99 for 2 slices and 2 soda cans. There were 13 tables in this dimly lit, old school wood decor shop, a dessert case, soda case and 3 tvs. The slices had a somewhat flimsy crust with a doughy (maybe sourdough) flavor. The CBR needed more ranch dressing, the chicken and bacon were on point though. The chicken on the Parm slice was crisp but most fell off with the sauce as I picked it up. Sauce was sweet, perhaps marinara and both...
