LACK OF OWNING MISTAKES/ACCOUNTABILITY! BEWARE! UBREAK I BREAK!!! They did my frist Repair on an HDMI port. When I needed it fixed again (different situation, my fault) I called the manager Marisol and asked for advice. Marisol suggested I send to a local UbreakIFix local to me since I moved. I sent it and the store tech/owner said the person to fix it last soldered it (Feliz @Riverhead) in such a way that it was NOT REPAIRABLE! Basically sitting on a peperweight. He even brought it to a 3rd party for additional professional oponion... they agreed. When I confronted Riverhead looking for help (not a hand out but help) they were standoffish and didnt want to even aknowledge they could have done this Feliz the Riverhead tech EVEN SUGGESTED I TAMPERED WITH IT, then Marisol @Riverhead advised me to go to Corporate UBreakIFix because they werent going to help me! Well....I did. After filing a claim with Jennifer.M at Corp (who was amazing) they went through a slew of hoops and Investigation. Down to asking Riverhead if they can take the device back to look at their original repair work and see if I can pay them to fix it. We sent it to Riverhead AND THEY WOULDNT EVEN LOOK AT IT (plausable deniability) then said since I sent it to a local store (that Marisol advised and helped me ship it to) theyre not touching something tampered with (which it wasnt, the guy opened the XBOX and immediately saw their shotty soldering job. CORPORATE TOLD Riverhead they need to replace my Xbox, they said no. Corporate escalated further, deemed me in the right and cut me a check for a new Xbox that Riverhead botched. BEWARE. They can "do the job" but only for a 1 off. Then they will deny till their last breath when something goes wrong. They lack any accountability and play all the games with you. Read moreI had to bring my son's PS4 in because it was not working. I do not know much about PS4's and was pretty much willing to do whatever it took to fix it, since my son was devestated. I asked around and most people told me to be very careful where you take it because you could easy get over priced. A friend recommend I give the new UBreakfix a try. I was very skeptical, but I figured I would give them a shot. I was immediately greated with excellent customer service. My son talked with the technician and explained the problems. They really listened, asked lots of questions and explained to us the process they would preform to identify the cause of the problems. By the next day, they had evaluated and unfortunately for us, the news was not what we wanted to hear; due to some water damage it would cost more than it would be worth to fix it. They said they could try, but they did not feel it was worth the money for us to take the risk, since it still may not work due to the intense water damage to the whole system. After all of our options were presented, we decided not to fix it. Now this may sound like a failure, but I appreciated the honesty. They could have convinced me to spend a ton of money to maybe fix it, but instead gave me an honest assessment. I felt like they cared more about doing the right thing than to make easy money off me. Read moreChris & Christin Made An Absolutely Nightmare Experience With Asurion Protection Plus Plan Slightly More Torerlable/Bareable after Over A Yr Of Back And forth with the protection plan group I ended up finally paying out of pocket for the repair of my asus touch screen laptop & although I'm very unhappy about having to do then when I had and have been paying for my plan and it was covered at the time of break but because while making my claim on my phone obviously because i was unable to do so on the laptop and my n phone glitches and I clicked the wrong date and after countless asurion reps and so called managers no 1 thought enough about my situation to help so in conclusion after a year of bottling I ended up paying out of pocket but Chris and Christin helped me every step of the way weither it was phone calls in person suggestions or help and even e-mails to help assist with inputting & complete my claim and issue to the best of my ability with there help and ultimately $434.50 later with the help of a back to school $50 off coupon i know have my laptop and I'll be definitely calling asurion plus protection to cancel my membership because it seems like the only thing there protecting is themselves & I'm not gonna pay into the coverage of...
